The Difference Between Cassava Gel And Cornstarch Gel As Hair Straightening Treatments !

Today I’m gonna compare Tapioca Gel with Cornstarch Gel as Hair Straightening Gels For Natural Hair. Cornstarch gel and tapioca gel have both similar properties. As I said in my previous video they can be used as hair straightening gels, natural conditioners, detangling and moisturizing agents, they help prevent breakage, reduce product buildup and define your natural curls.

I put my cornstarch gel into a blender if it gets clumpy as it cools dowm. You can add more water while blending and even oilband a dash of conditioner. Then application is just fine. Just blend before application and its just fine. I find with almost all diy natural hair hacks, a blender, any blender or electric mixer makes things easier I am gonna try the tapioca gel some time soon.

I also notice rice water, can be used as a light gel, or hold for the hair as well. Sometimes i will use it during the day, and then at night rinse it out, at night, so I deep conditioned my hair leaving it in,.and rinse it out later as a deep conditioner. Love your videos, thanks

I think cassava gel work perfectly for low porosity hair, curls hair, silk hair and cornstarch for high porosity hair, kinky hair or am I wrong

Yes it can be used as a styling gel but it can leave some residues.

I will try this out with my own hair but I would really love to know how long do you leave the gel your hair and do you wash your hair first before you put it on your hair?

I usually leave the straightening gels on my hair for about 30 minutes. It's actually like a co-wash for me so I don't wash my hair before.
