Which do you feel is sweeter, the vanilla almond bark or the white chocolate wafers?

I hadn't thought about it, so I did a taste test. I tasted Ghirardelli Classic White Chips and Great Value Vanilla Almond Bark. I happened to have these on hand. The white chips tasted sweeter when I first bit into them, whereas the almond bark tasted sweeter on the finish. Both have sugar as their first ingredient. I think they are pretty equal in sweetness. The Ghirardelli Classic White Chips seem more flavorful to me. I hope that helps!

Hi Marlenne! Either will work. I like to do things the easy way. I would go for chocolate bark or almond bark so that you don’t have to worry about tempering. I hope that helps!

The package I am looking at does not have nuts listed (Great Value Brand). I would double-check the package before you purchase, just to be sure.

Does the almond bark melt well as chocolate bomb?

My first thought was that it might create an oily film on top of the drink. I have not made chocolate bombs, so I can’t say for sure. I did look online, and someone said it would work, but the flavor isn’t as good as real chocolate. If you try it, please let me know how it turns out.

Cocoa almond bark is dirt cheap, would it be a decently edible snack on its own?

I would say "decent" might be the best description. It may also depend on brand. I have a package of Great Value chocolate flavored almond bark so I gave it a taste test. Like the vanilla flavored almond bark, its flavor isn't there when you first start chewing. The texture in the mouth is different, and it doesn't have a creamy melt in the mouth feel. However, it isn't terrible. Give it a try, and let me know what you think!
