I have the ddm4v7 exclusive it came with the muzzle climb mitigator 2 which is great but does anyone make a qd suppressor that attaches to this break? I've read that there is some but can't find out which one

The muzzle climb mitigator is phenomenal on my DDM4 Custom Pistol. It is loud as hell, massive fireball, and a huge concussive pressure blast at the head of the gun, but there is virtually zero perceived recoil felt. It’s too easy to keep on target; fantastic device!

Hi, I'm new to ARs and suppressors and have a question. I'm ordering a DDM4V7S and separately a Surefire Socom556-RC2 suppressor and would like to know whether it (suppressor) will fit without any other parts? Do I need a Surefire Warcomp or will the suppressor attach directly to DD's muzzle device??

I would think that anything that can reduce recoil like a muzzle brake would be ideal for self defense. Am I wrong in that assessment?

In low light conditions ( such as in a house at night) the bright flash that occurs when firing a round can disorient the shooter. What's worse, the noise when fired indoors can be so loud as to cause permanent hearing damage. From what I understand, a muzzle brake can exacerbate these effects while a flash hider mitigates them. I think that's why flash hiders are typically recommended over muzzle brakes for defense purposes. Another benefit of flash hiders from a tactical perspective is that they help to avoid giving away your position.

I think it would be the worst for home defense at night it'll blind ya and the sound is insane indoors and 556 is easy to shot without it

Yes, so long as the thread pitch is the same. Typically 1/2-28 for .22cal and 5/8-24 for .30 cal

i thought that the flash hider was more for the shooter's benefit, ie: Not blinding him, in low light conditions, rather than reducing position visibility from the target? Maybe anti-gunners are unclear on this, because they consider a flash suppressor/hider as a BAD "assault Weapon" device.

Well the flash suppressor does both by reducing the signature of the flash. Take the Surefire Warcomp for example. It reportedly reduces the flash signature by 99% according to Surefire, and after seeing it in action, yeah, id agree. The flash is gone. But a brake.... oh boy, you better be wearing sunglasses shooting those at night.
