I recently managed to get wild Mondulkiri Honey from Cambodia I showed a few guys who told me it was no good because it's runny however after trying it they fell in love with it. After watching this I'm guessing it's runny because it has high fructose content?

I’m amazed at under £1 for soft set honey. I worry about how you can look after bees properly, harvest the honey, extract it, cream it to make it soft set, put it in a jar with a label and ship it around the world and make a profit for less than £1.

@@cotswoldbees I've been wondering the same thing. You can buy a 454g jar in most big shops for + - 1.50 . It often says "a blend of non-EU honeys". How is it possible to produce it so cheap and where do all those hundreds and thousands of tons in the shops come from? Where do they keep all the bees? How much of the honey is sugar? I heard it takes a bee 10.000 flights to produce a gram of honey... not sure if that's true but something's fishy here.

Basically it takes 12 bees their whole lives to produce one teaspoon of honey (so always lick the spoon). A lot of honey on the market is adulterated with sugar and similar syrups and so you have to be really careful when buying. Especially if it is from bulk sources. Thanks for watching the video. Soft set honey for under a £1. I could not even put it in the jar for that let alone make a profit. Take care with cheap “honey”

I bought creamed honey but it’s runny like regular honey? What causes this? It also tastes really flowery and smells like it too. Its taste is very sugary unlike other organic unpasteurized creamed honeys I’ve gotten before.

Are you certain it was creamed honey and not regular honey that had crystallised? Did it say creamed honey on the label? If it was ours contact me direct and let me know the batch number and where you bought it. If it is someone else’s I don’t know.

What happens if I don't put starter honey? I will only put liquid honey into the machine, it will mix for 15 minutes, and then rest for 45 minutes.
