Very interesting discussion. The subjects of the Ahruf/qiraat have been widely discussed since the earliest days of Islam. It is true that most common Muslims are not educated regarding these topics. All the discussions of Muslim Scholars on this subject have all arrived at the same conclusion. That the Quran we have today is indeed the exact preserved speech of God. They have different opinions regarding the nature or definition of what exactly constitutes the term Ahruf however their conclusions are all the same. The Quran was preserved as is verifiable through the written texts that have been carbon dated to the times that Islam was revealed and also through the Oral preservation in an unbroken chain from millions of Hufaz(those that know the text by heart). It is true that many Muslims need to educate themselves more regarding these and many other Islamic topics.

Imagine that there were only two Ahruf, let's name them Medina Ahruf (MA) and Jeddah Ahruf (JA). Allah gave these so that the people living in each city had their separate/distinct version of the Quran unique for their area that only they could understand. However, if the people of Medina could understand JA version completely and the people of Jeddah could understand MA completely then Muslims are saying Allah does not know what he is doing, he is a false God. He made a mistake with producing two Ahruf when only one was required. In this example, if Allah is a true god, he produced the two Ahruf MA and JA because these are significantly different so that the people of Jeddah and Medina can understand. So, Muslims are you saying the 7 Ahruf are not required, "if you can understand one Ahruf, you can understand all of them". Be careful what you say, you are calling Allah a false god? It does not matter to me why Allah gave 7 Ahruf, so don't try your taqiyya to deflect. It matters that Allah said " Muslims need the 7 Ahruf he delivered " . Muslims, please tell me what the 7 Ahruf are called and where I can find them? If you can’t find the 7 Ahruf, you can’t find the Quran!! The Quran is perfectly preserved, what a joke Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂

@@SmashAllah The seven ahruf were revealed by Allah almighty to ease the readings of the Arabs and to sway them towards Islam, it's Allah's mercy that he made it easy for them. Subhanallah! I can't define the 7 ahruf, but I don't have to, they serve a certain purpose and maybe it was Allah's wisdom that he chose we don't need them in today's age, but we still have the Noble Quran preserved just like it was uttered by the pure mouth of our esteemed prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. In the other hand you don't have to go deep in to bible for similar purpose. Just from start already exposed to the fact that author is not known. This straight throws entire Bible in to garbage bin without need further research.

you should always try your best. if you really can not do it and you try your best you can hope your salah will be accepted. but it is not something hard. you can learn how to recite qur an just by listening. and you can recite surahs that are shorter in length in salah or only a few ayahs from each surah or just recite al fatiha. reciting fatiha is the only thing obligatory in recitation when you stand - so you dont need to recite subhanaka allahumma or surah after fatiha however if you do you get a reward but if you do not you do not get punished. so it is easy to learn to recite fatiha in proper manner just by listening to it. and this following of madhabs - you can follow a madhab if you are not familiar with the rulings but when you become familiar with rulings, you have to follow the ruling. for example some of the hadiths may have not reached hanifah and he made a wrong ruling. you should always try to strive to get knowledge on your own BUT in a smarter way. so instead of asking this question you could have just turned to basic principle - you need to read the qur an in the way it was revealed. and this means you do it everywhere in salah or any time you recite the qur an.

When Mr. Karim Abuzaid said there was an immediate need (minute 8:50) on the time of the revelation, I thought to myself that Allah was 600 years a bit too late to fix the misunderstandings of the Christians and the Jews. Why Allah, wait 600 years to fix a misunderstanding? Why Allah, not get another Jew prophet like you've been done for 2000 years? Why Allah break your pattern of behavior and cause more confusion in the world? Why Allah, give the Arab Prophet a different message than that of all of the Jewish prophets? Why Allah, weren't you powerful enough to keep your previous revelation from corrupting? If you, oh Allah don't change, why would you change your mind and abrogate the previous laws that you gave mankind? Why Allah, you make so difficult, for us fallen humans to understand what is going on with your ruling system? Why Allah, would you put the sins of a sinful Muslim upon a good Christian or a Jew, in order, to take them out of hell of fire according to the authentic (Sahih Muslim Book 37, Hadith Number 6665 / 6666) which narrates: (----- "Abu Burda reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with as heavy sins as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians. (As far as I think), Abu Raub said: I do not know as to who is in doubt. Abu Burda said: I narrated it to ‘Umar b. ‘Abd al-‘Aziz, whereupon he said: Was it your father who narrated it to you from Allah’s Apostle (may peace be upon him)? I said: Yes." ------) Why Allah, would you do such a great injustice, worse than Satan? Oh Allah, if you are the MOST MERCIFUL, why would you burn the unbelievers, who are the creation of your hand in the eternal hell of fire? The unbelievers only sinned for 100 years max, and you will burn them throughout the thousands, millions, billions, trillions of years and throughout the never-ending eternity according to Quran 2:81, 7:36 and 72:23, what kind of mercy is this, oh, most merciful? Why would you hold their lives from leaving them, so they can burn and suffer eternally? Wouldn't it be better to SACRIFICE Jesus for the sins of all humanity that whosoever believes in Him may be saved instead of SACRIFICING confused Jews and Christians to save Sinful Muslims? Sorry Allah, I'll lean with the confused Christians, their Allah is LOVE and He doesn't burn His unbelieving creature in the hell of fire eternally just to make them suffer and pay! The Christian Allah is a bit more balanced and Jesus' sahabahs were eyewitnesses and gave their lives for the savior who loved them!

Aight lets go point by point. 1. Jesus was the greatest of the Jewish Prophets since Moses yet they still rejected him so another one lesser than him wouldnt have done a thing. 2. The Christians were confusing themselves their were groups which existed amongst the Christians which Inshallah will be saved. They were labelled as heretics by the larger Orthodoxy which was going astray but its very likely that up until the time of Prophet Muhammad with perhaps a small gap between there was a group of Christians that were saved. (If your aware of Christian history you cant really ever point to 1 time period where ALL Christians ALL believed the same thing). 3. Allah does as he wills and since you dont have the previous messages of the former Prophets you cant really make this claim. Also all Prophets preached Monothiesm and it was the Christians who mixed Roman Paganism and Jewish Philosphy in order to end up with Modern Christianity. 4. Allah tells us in the Quran that anytime he would bring a revelation its preservation was intrusted to the people for example it was the Learned men of the Jews who were tasked with perserving the Torah after the passing of Moses and the same was applied to the Christians who needed to perserved the teachings of Jesus. Allah has chosen that for the Quran he would remove that responsibility from the nation of Prophet Muhammad and instead preserve it himself (through making it very easy to memorise). 5. Even Jesus in the NT was "changing" the rules of the Jews however it was due to the Jews corrupting the teachngs of Moses which is whats happening again nothing is changing you've just corrupted the message so you percieve it that way the same way the pharasees accused Jesus. 6. This might be a comprehension issue on your part. 7. This hadith clarifies that point Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 6200. 8. Even the God of the Bible is gonna leave people in hell forever so this is kinda a hypocritical point 9. God doesnt need sacrifice to forgive since Allah is free from all needs he can just forgive because he loves to forgive. 10. Odd that you say the Christian diety is love since he seems to really not be a fan of Disbelievers and Sinners but this reply wasnt to change your mind it was to leave an answer for my fellow Muslims. May Allah guide you away from the religon of Paul the apostle of Satan to the last and final Messanger Prophet Muhamamd pbuh.

Where and to whom did Allah instruct that the variants of the Uthman be written? Are you now saying that the Quran was not preserved dot by dot ,letter by letter as the muslims like us to believe.

Ibn Farooq is lying. Ahruf are actually different modes to recite The Quran, and *these modes had differences, variances, which caused the Muslims to be divided and have theological differences* . Thus resulting in Uthman *getting rid off all those modes, except for one* (Quraish Dialect). And even then, *this didn’t last too long, for qiraats came into existence, which are actually new modes of recitation of The Quran* . And among these new readings, *some ayats have different meanings, messages and directives* .

Not true, don't get your understanding of ahruf from christians 😂, he explained it truthfully. Also Uthman didnt burn different modes, the rasm u Uthman literally accomodated all the ahruf and Qirat which is why there is ijma that the only script used for quran is the script of Uthman. Uthman burned personal copies that people had, like people would write the Quran down and with it personal notes, since the mushaf was standardized, this was uneeded and he obviouslhy did not want this to become widespread hence he burned it.

@@zrne9168 Many Muslims were taught, and still believe, there is ONE and only one version of the Quran. That all Qurans are literally identical to the LETTER and diacritical mark.
@iiddrrii60517 ай бұрын
@@zrne9168 Of course this isn't a problem for Muslim who already have faith - no evidence would be sufficient to indicate issues with preservation. However, the non-biased scholars have a more objective view. The current variants are simply scribal errors because most variants are with diacritical marks and small stokes or dots like Qul vs. Qaala or Wa vs. Fa. Earlier, pre-Uthmanic Qurans are essentially lost. The Sanaa Palimpsest may be a representation of them. It has even larger differences. Of course, the apologetic is it was a student's draft. However, even these small differences can significantly change the meanings. At least on classical scholar used the wordcontradiction for the variants for Lut's wife. hafs vs warsh he gives them ... 4:152 we give them ... 4:151 they are slaves of the Most Gracious ... 43:19 they are with the Most Gracious ... 43:19 he gives them ... 4:152 we give them ... 4:151 a redemption by feeding a poor man ... 2:184 a redemption by feeding poor men ... 2:183
@iiddrrii60517 ай бұрын
@@zrne9168 Lastly, this narrative is quite suspicious when compared to the evidence. We're told that companions were shocked when hearing variant readings and confronted Mohammed, who said, Quran was revealed in 7 modes. These supposed seven modes are gone today. Secondly, Uthman was alerted to "save the Quran" as people were differing in their readings and Uthman supposedly made ONE codex and sent copies to several city centers. If these seven modes were Quran, where are they? Muslims scholars, themselves aren't sure as there are dozens of opinions. Lastly, when we look at the variants, the differences aren't that interesting, they make more sense as scribal errors. Lastly, since the Quran is central to Islam, it's extremely suspicious that the Quran doesn't even mention the modes or for what purpose variants exist. The simpler explanation is these are simply oral and scribal errors.

@@iiddrrii6051 1) You: "These supposed seven modes are gone today." no they are not gone, you dont have to read in only one ahruf, you can combine different readings from different Ahruf in any possible way, since all the Ahruf are Qur'an. So Qur'an was initially revealed in 7 modes, and Qira'at that we have today are recitations, that derive the different readings from 7 Ahruf and are composed from different Ahruf at the choice of masters of each Qira'ah All the little differences are revealed from ALLAH and do not impact the guidance and rulings that come from Qur'an and different readings do not contradict with each other 2) You: "Lastly, since the Quran is central to Islam, it's extremely suspicious that the Quran doesn't even mention the modes or for what purpose variants exist." Even if we only had one Harf (mode) its sufficient for guidance and rulings Regarding the purpose for different readings, its most likely to make it easier to memorise and recite for people from different tribes it is said in hadiths: Sunan Abi Dawud 1478 (I'll only quote a part of it, since yt seems to delete quotes for spam or smth) "...Gabriel came to him and said: "Allah has commanded you to make your community read (the Qur'an) in one harf. Yet, we are now discovering that there are 37 different versions with 93,000 comparative variations. 1, Qaloon 2, Al- susi(ibn-katheer) 3,Khaled 4,Idrees 5,warsh 6, Hafs Ad- Dury (Abu - Amro alBasri) 7,Al- Laith 8,Al- Bazzi 9,Al- Azraq 10,As - Susi (Abu Amro alBasri) 11,Ad - Dury(alkisa'i) 12, Ibn shanboodh 13,Al- Asbahaani 14,Hisham 15,Ibn Dhakwan 16,Isa BinWardan 17,Sulayman 18, Ibn Jammaz 19,Ahmad bin Farah 20,Qunbul 21,Showba 22, Ruwais 23,Shujaa' bin Abi Nasr Al- Balakhi 24, Abu Amro Al -Ala 25,Hafs 1924 Cairo edition 26, Ruh 27, Al- Dury (Al Hasan AlBasri) 28, Hafs Al - Dury (ibn kathir) 29,khalf 30,Ishaq 31,Al Hasan bin Said Al- Matuu'l 32, Abu- Farah Al- Shan - budhi 33,Ibn Masud 34,Ubai kab 35, Ibn Abbas 36,Abu Musa 37,Hafs 1982 edition The FACTS are that there is no such thing as "The Quran" there are many variants with many different words, meanings and even order of the Sura's. The Myth that there is Only ONE Quran with "Perfect Preservation" has just been destroyed! How can anyone with any logic or common sense believe that it is the Word of God ?. It is little wonder that Today, there is an unprecedented scale of Muslims leaving the faith, The death knell of Islam has begun to toll, and we are watching the destruction of a false faith. This is the beginning of an exodus from Islam, a movement that is already in motion and nothing can stop it

@@4lsteppa647 The Qur'an was revealed to Prophet Muhammad(saw) in 7 ahruf (modes of recitation) Qira'at are authentic recitations of The Qur'an by noted reciters, which are passed down to us, preserved letter for letter. 1 Qira'ah can be combined of different ahruf, since all of 7 ahruf are Qur'an and you can recite them irrespectively, and every Qira'ah is based on the choices of Qira'ah masters from the 7 ahruf(modes of recitation) Very slight diffrences in recitation of different qira'at come from the 7 ahruf, which are different modes of recitation revealed by ALLAH to our Prophet(saw), according to authentic hadiths (Sahih Muslim 821a, Sahih al-Bukhari 4991) there are very slight differences in meanings of the verses. For example: "The Owner of the Day of Judgement" and "The King of The Day of Judgement" in Surah Al-Fatiha, they are both correct and expand and enrich the meaning of the verse. All the little differences in readings come from the 7 ahruf, they are not contradictory and all are revealed by ALLAH Subhanahu wa ta'ala and all the authentic qira'at are perfectly preserved.
