@@JT-rx1eo have u payed attention in the film. The whole point is that everyone has flaws and that Lisa isn’t as perfect as he thinked she is. one of the 3 main windows in the film (Ms Lonelyheart) shows Jeff what happens to someone if u keep waiting around for the 100% perfect and compatible partner Also yes it’s a counter because even though they’re lifestyles are diff they can still adapt to one another through change and growth. Life isn’t that simple. If there is a love spark between them nothing should stop that

Lisa would be fed up with life without the luxury of Upper East Side Manhattan before they had even landed in Kathmandu or wherever. In my view, her infatuation is only with the idea of how Jeff would fit in her high society girl fantasy, rather than Jeff the actual person.

Jeff (played by Jimmy Stewart) was a hardworking, workaholic photographer who lived paycheck to paycheck. Lisa Freemont (played by The Amazing Grace Kelly) was a high society girl in Manhattan, New York. So of course they were very different. So I agree with Jeff on this.

The 1950s-mannered, soundstage nature of this movie in the 2020s has a both kind & melancholy quality. Hitchcock's (& filmmaking's decades ago) format made even NYC seem friendly & charming. Now everything has a mean, hard-edged, overdone quality. Or where F bombs, the "N" word (eg, rap music) & way too much CGI reflect today's culture & politics. With the 1940's movie "It's a Wonderful Life" in mind, things have gone from Bedford Falls to Pottersville.
