Let’s just make this clear: He has a Mexican citizenship, his wife is Mexican, his kids are Mexican, his and professional career has been largely in Mexico. He is more Mexican than most of you leaving comments here 🤣 . Most of y’all hating aren’t even Mexican! Y’all may have Mexican ancestry but are not Mexican citizens. So chill with he is not Mexican. If he chooses to represent Mexico than I’m all for it. He is an incredible player and could easily be playing his trade in good clubs in Europe

La gente que han construido sus ciudades, gente que pelearon por la independencia y la revolución. Los mexicanos vienen de gente que nacieron y murieron en tierra mexicana. Yeah he’s Colombian, but he’s been in Mexico since he was 18 and has proven to be a quality player for Liga MX, something the federation rates more than say Brian Gutierrez who has only played for Chicago Fire. I do see the logic of going for the dual national, but the problem is that a lot of them are not given a chance with the Mexican team in recent years and end up picking the USMNT as a consequence of overlooking them.
