Jon, you are the only person who gives me hope to survive in this world. I thought the only way to live in this world is that I should have money and to earn money I have to work very hard and spend all the time in earning it. Whereas spending takes just hours. I am still a minor now, but when I will become an adult. I have decided to walk on the path of self reliance, and spread this truthful and liberating ideas of you. Such purity. There’s is so much clarity in his way of thinking about using our natural resources to provide for us. I have a garden of vegetables and the flavours are astounding. With my abundance we created a non-profit to feed our neighbors. For the first time, we are meeting our neighbors again. We are connecting. So the application of the concepts into my own life expands me and my vision. And to know he has been doing this for 20+ years! Astonishing! I work in a public school... I don't think I will be returning in the fall. I only work there as an aid. I go from class to class, helping with general studies, special ed, and emotional and behavioral problems. I make the least amount of money in the school. I watch what these kids learn, I watch how depressed they are, I see how lost they are, I see how failed they are, I see how desperate they are. I see where the school's money goes. It is a very rich town, and I see how poor of an education they are getting. It is just, I can't even comprehend it. Times have changed, and we need to be making real decisions and take responsibility for our happiness and self reliance. We are all EXTREMELY intelligent and kind, all of us. We need to come back home to ourselves and come into community. Real community with real values, and being stern and confident with saying no to what no longer feels right.

More highly self reliant people can choose to not be an early adopter of new technologies. Technology cuts both ways. There's always a cost. Sometimes that cost is social. There was more cohesion in rural areas when groups of people worked together to harvest grain crops with a scythe or sickle. That's just an example. So, yes people can pick and choose which technology they want to allow into their life, to an extent. As for cost, I buy used phones and laptops and also use them for more years than average. That brings the annual expense on electronics down.

In some countries, there is zero or little property tax in the country side where you live self reliance self sufficiency. In the USA, you still have to work hard at the garden or farm to sell your crops for more money to pay property tax. It is self employed more than self reliance. Just no more boss to control you and you are free to control your time schedule. We cannot get away from working hard either in the city or in the country side. That is life, especially in the USA.

I've seen many people, if you go and tell them the reality they don't believe you and think you are some kind of dumb ass stupid, but when they find out the hard way they try to remember you, but what's the point then? Many people just go with the flow and do same mistake again and again. If human start taking note from the mistakes people have done in the past then we would have gone far ahead by now, but sadly some people don't let us go.

You’re a wise man. Keep searching your knowledge with us. Capitalism…this system has destroy our family and our quality of life. People are mostly not content and keep consuming to keep this system going!!! My focus is self reliant and early retirement. The financial planner says I don’t have enough money and I’m not ready. Once I have a roof over my head and soil and water, I can cultivate and feed myself and my family.

It’s quite sad to say that the USA has more land than most countries yet people are so lazy and don’t think farming is cool. They think using mote techology is going to make the country richer and more efficient. This is true but it also has a negative side effects for the younger generation because they don’t have the opportunity to learn that there is another alternative in surviving in the west.
