This still holds up today, so you can probably appreciate back in 1995 it was mind blowing, and like being in a movie, unfortunately i was only about 16 years old back then and it was so hard. There was no internet so getting hints was virtually impossible, they did have these automated helplines you could call but they were really expensive and you had to go to a payphone to call them, or get a big phone bill. Adventure games are still my favorite genre, its just a shame they don't make enough of them these days, mainly because first person shooters became the hot genre around that time, and shops had limited shelf space people stopped making the point n clicks, such a shame for those of us who enjoyed these story driven experiences, although they have had a bit of a resurgence lately im happy to say, I just wish there was more of them.

Absolutely adore this game. Was completely immersed in it when it came out in 1995 and introduced it to my daughter when she was 7. She has played it through at least a dozen times, explored all the alternate endings, and just enjoyed the heck out of the experience. The graphics is beautiful, but I would love to see a "deluxe" edition one day with hi-res graphics.

Just stumbled upon this by accident, and it gave me quite a bit of nostalgia. I remember playing this back in the late 90's. And oddly, watching it kind of makes me wish that a sort of remake of it could be made with modern methods. Though sadly, I would fear what would happen if it was given that treatment... fear that a lot of things would be unnecessarily changed.

Oh man, I randomly think about this game from time to time. It was the first 'adult' game I'd ever played. Sure it's a point-n-click adventure game but when you're 6 or 7 years old this game felt so mature. I never finished it of course, I only had the demo disc and game guides weren't even a twinkle in the dialup internets' eyes. Very few games have ever filled me with a sense of wonder like this one did. Low repeatedly saying, "It won't do anything" when I prod around the environment will forever be burned into my brain haha

What I never understood - When the alien dives back into the eye to bring Maggie and Brink back - Maggie looks like she was 5 minutes ago, but Brink is now an old man, but has his hand. So I'm assuming the alien went to different timelines and alternate realities to bring them, but then why is Brink old and has his hand? There are infinite realities where Brink grows old, but they might be realities where Brink doesn't even go to this planet. What's the point of bringing that Brink here? It would be cruel and pointless. And when Brink speaks, he is fully aware of what happened to his alternate version before he died, but this Brink is free of the madness, has his hand, and has grown old. Huh? Whut? If an infinite amount of realities are possible in spacetime six, then surely there must've been a Brink with his hand, free from the madness of the christals, that's been through all the same shit as the timeline we have just gone through, but isn't 90 years old? Or am I missing something?
@queotzcatl39803 ай бұрын
And Low also looks old with grey hair when seen through the eyes of Maggie? I too don't have really understood the final.... everybody used the life crystals in many ways, and they have been on an Alien planet for who knows how long? How distant the trip through the portal was? Space six times run six times faster? It gives Interstellar vibes this ending... Steven Spielberg must have had one or two more ending in mind I'm sure of... Want to see the making of this game now to discover more about the plot...
