i got into a car crash this afternoon. on the way back from church, i had not gotten enough sleep, and 2 minutes away from my house i had closed my eyes for a few seconds and veered off into the opposite lane, hitting trees. NO cars had been coming, and i was unharmed. at first frustrated and angry at myself for being foolish, i realized that God had protected me, and given me another chance. Praise the Lord. This has been my favorite song ever since it was released in 2012. In August of 2014, I lost my best friend to suicide, and this song really helped me through it, along with other songs by Digital Age, David Crowder, and Switchfoot. The situation that happened is one that I will never fully get over, but I know that I can trust in God to help me through it.

Now 6 years later I find it here again, as a United States Marine. Things have been going so poorly for me as of late. I have been making terrible decisions. I have been hurting those that I love. I have been hurting myself. Today I decided I didn't want to hurt anymore and that I needed some help. I came across this song today, I'm not sure even how. I've listened to it about 20 times already. I don't know what tomorrow is going to bring, but right now I'm feeling better than I have in some time. I know that God never left me, I left him, but I feel like maybe it's time to let him back in. I am not sure who put this up, but thank you very much. From the bottom of my heart, you have no idea how much this has touched me today.
