People have every right to do this and have done all throughout History, This puritanical belief that controls what folk put into their own bodies is what led to the war on drugs that pushed use underground and made it dangerous. If drugs where legal there'd be quality control and standardised doses leading to less deaths....... Governments don't want people thinking for themselves and expanding their minds, that's why alcohol is legal because it keeps you stupid. There's more deaths from alcohol in the world in a year than most of these substances combined with maybe fentanyl as an exception....... Education is key not prohibition.

I saw kids doing drugs in the early 2000s and I'm sure it was a thing in the 60s as well. Its not because of the internet and it was never hard to get drugs (hell when i was a teen it was hard NOT to get drugs because they were everywhere.) Kids who do drugs at 12 are mostly from somehow dysfunctional homes (also but not only bad parents, sometimes the parents are just too busy to pay attention or depressed themselves and accidentally neglect their child) The good news is I know several people who did drugs in their early teens and still grew up to be awesome adults with stable lives so the fearmongering is a bit much. Just pay attention to what your kid is doing and dont ignore signs that something might be wrong. And if you are a parent and are depressed please seek help before you spend years dragging your child into your depression with you.
