My father, Glenn Carnevale, raced englishtown in 1972-1974. He had a funny car called Rat Poison. It was a 69 Firebird with a Keith Black hemi. If anyone knows of any pictures or videos please let me know I would love to see them!

There was a VHS tape with some Englishtown drag races on it that I forgot the name of it but that car was in it it was a tape with drag races from different tracks but had most races from Englishtown on it * found it at the Englishtown Auction 30 + years ago I don't even know what I did with it

It was the eighth of a Mike track it was close to the airport runway

I ran E TOWN 68 -72 I had a 56 Chevy with a 265 it ran F/GAS The BACKYARD ATTEMPT car Later I had a 56 Nomad in E/GAS I still have that one. I lived in Roselle NJ I am in Maine now.

Kinda curious ------- I ran a '64 Vette in C/MP @ Englishtown 1967-1971. It wasn't an 1/8th mile strip then. Only 1/8th miler around at the time was in Langhorne, PA. I haven't been in the area since 1972. so what changed? I thought the NHRA made Raceway Park its darling east coast 1/4 mile strip.

The 1/8 mile at RP is a separate track, only used on sunday for Jr. Dragsters and Trophy stock, or specialty events, The 1/4 still stands and is used 3 days a week..

@@dianebongo1328 Yes there were two drag strips. There was the 1/4 mile drag strip and there was a separate 1/8 mile drag strip which they are racing on in this video.

It's been 5hete for years in the back by the air port 1/8th mile They also race JR Dragsters here

I miss Raceway Park too and I live less than 2 miles away .Ever since they stopped drag racing and put the swap meet in the dirt field I have not been there..And I been going here since.the 70s Been going to the swap meet ever since 86 every one of them my last one was spring of 2019 I met a lot of famous people here too by coming early and sneaking in from the airport .The back gate was always open but not too many knew this .Many good shows back then .I have a video of Benny the bomb on here I posted about 8 or 9 years ago that was recorded around 2002 I miss the summer nationals .Night of thrills the good old days I had a 73 Formula firebird and 69 El Camino I used to race there in the 80s before my first son was born A lot of good memories here ...
