To everyone commenting that this is Snakeboard, yes that was snakeboard is! But the sport is called STREETBOARD. Snakeboard was the very first streetboard brand, from 1993 till 2001. Dimension took over as the leader in 2002. Now Dragan Board is the boss of the game. Anyway, the Braille Skateboarding crew was fully right, that is STREETBOARD!

Hello, in France we called this kind of board "a snakeboard " but is made with wood. All the best braille team 👍

Back in the days there where snakeboard videos with hard tricks all over the place. You could have the simple version without straps or the pro version with real bindings. I think it is a shame that they are forgotten completely. Ripsticks are a joke compared to real snakeboards. At least in my opinion.
@RolandAshcroft3 жыл бұрын
finally someone knows what snakeboarding is, kept commenting on them to try this for years, but i think really thought its just a typo or something ,Aaron should know what a snakeboard is

Back in the 90s we had the Snakeboard, which were basically the same thing as this. The brand-agnostic name for the sport was "streetboarding", because there were some other brands making them. The Snakeboards just had a bar in the middle, but some of the other brands had a board filling in the center area.

@drewfinn23 жыл бұрын
yeah reminds me of an old SnakeBoard...those snakeBoards were fun to do figure 8’s in the kitchen
@drewfinn23 жыл бұрын
the trick of a snakeBoard is to kind of have the back foot push back n forth just after you turn the front foot. so if your front foot turns inward, then just after your front foot is done pivoting then the back foot follows...eventually you’ll kind of push your back foot forward n backward to generate speed...it’s opposite of how you ticTac on a skateBoard.
@drewfinn23 жыл бұрын
man, really wish you guys gave it a bit more time...once you get the feel of how to snake it n generate speed, it’s super fun carving around. I wonder if there’s a way to mod a regular board to make it a snake board.
@drewfinn23 жыл бұрын
I bet you can make one by just modding a couple caster wheels then attaching it to the bottom of a board under the trucks where the bushings would go. just cut the deck in 3rds and it should work pretty well I think.
