I’m ready to start getting active again and cruising. I really honestly miss pushing and kicking. Baby steps but hopefully I can get on a real board eventually and start doing doing tricks like I did in high school. THANK YOU GUYS FOR REIGNITING MY SPARK.

Instead of Soap shoes we could have Cheese shoes. Instead of rubber soles it will just be cheese grater, and instead of a urethane grind plate, there will be a replaceable cheese module. The screws on the bottom will not be hex, they'll be big flathead. That way you can get at them with a butter knife.

Yes snowboarding I had a carpet box downstairs, practicing popping into my grids & presses, regular switch, nollie pop or fakie, 180s, cab ins, hold them tweak them & exit back out or spin variations out. Soft trucks are geared more towards experienced skaters than beginners. Especially for those whom can’t skate during the winter months, you can practice your flip tricks all ways, 180s, 360s, ollies ect. Think of it like working out.. you’re putting in your reps to build up those muscles & muscle memory keeping your abilities fresh. You’ll built strength, your balance, more consistency with your execution among the tricks you practice, you may gain height to your tricks, better catches. They’re great when you can’t go skate or just to add into a practice routine as it wouldn’t hurt
@JswahSwitch
@JswahSwitch 3 жыл бұрын
I can see these being used on hardwood and tile without scratching it up or sending your board through a wall. On carpet you won't punch holes in the carpet with your axels. Not to mention I live in a desert so practicing indoors when it's 115* out sounds awesome

Since everyone is sharing their skate story, I started skating since I was 11, got my first board when I was 14 for like 3 years I was just hanging around other skaters and borrowing theirs cause I couldn’t afford mine. I stopped skating when I was like 16, only knew a few tricks, kicks, shuv it’s, FS and BS Ollie, easy things, I am 24 now and I just recently bought a new board to give it a go again, I’m looking to mainly cruise and hit the random Ollie, hop over small things but nothing too serious, looking to also eventually buy a cruising only board after. There’s a lot of terms, names and things I forgot about but it’ll all come back to me hopefully.

You have to use washers with the nuts n bolts,it will stop the trucks coming off.i also stuck a foam top on my board(used an old foam play mat)i can use it indoors barefoot and dont hurt,great for rainy days...which is alot in england!

this would really be helpful to learn things where i live since its all cobblestone streets. i can roll. but this on my back patio could be fun.

Yep, I've seen snowboarders do that :D. Also. Trampoline strapped to your board (jumping the trampoline that is, with board. Not a trampoline strapped to your board. Though that kinda sounds fun too). 10/10!

Softrucks are super fun for carpet skating. Landed my first tre at 46 years old on them. DKL non abrasive grip is the perfect thing for a softrucks setup. Way better than skater trainers.

Just starting out, getting used to pushing and stopping. Regular stance feels more comfortable on a board but on a scooter I like to push with my left. After a little bit of riding I get a cramp in my front (left) foot’s arch. Just need to get stronger/more comfortable or should I make myself ride goofy for a while?

You need to do the dishsoap floor or whatever other products you've used to make a slippery floor, but with Soft Trucks. Try and skate like normal by sliding instead of rolling!

There are for sure plenty of snowboarders who train off snow with jib boards and mock up rails. Helps find balance points and shoulder/body position easier. These seem like it would be a similar concept, although rolling is very important so maybe do both? Use these for new tricks while you also practice rolling and all on a regular board?
