I still love my LV reverse monogramand *gtdupe* clutch! lt's versatile, fits a variety of items,and is definitely a workhorse! l think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof thatit's already a classic.

Thanks for not letting Dior off the hook on this one. I can’t believe they haven’t had a socially responsible public response to this yet! It’s disappointing and frustrating. But what should we expect from an LVMH owned mega-conglomerate with shareholders? Maybe their many celebrity models have made statements, but they haven’t reached my ears. I had recently bought my first luxury leather bag from Dior and then the scandal came out. It’s definitely tainted the way I view that purchase. I can no longer say that paying thousands of dollars more for an authentic bag is exploiting workers any less than buying a counterfeit - something I never thought I would say. I believe Dior’s complacency and let’s just say corruption has increased potential demand for replica, fake Dior items since Dior products are now known to be unethically made. It’s also irritating that Chinese owned companies are allowed to export their human rights abuses across the globe. Good on Italy for investigating them and taking a stand.

I also think given that they outsource so much of their products counterfeit items might very well be using similar Dior / LVMH IP! But on your purchase, totally agree its not only ruining brand reputation but customer trust. The hard thing about fixing the outsourcing is that leather artisans are a dying trade in Europe, which is causing this gap to be filled by other labor -- though its no excuse for the exploitation. I want to talk about this in a future video on labor constraints and how some companies are trying to fix this issue.

Nice talk and good job you are doing. but the thing DIOR doenst give a sh*t if things get subcontracted as long as they bet it for cheap en can sell it to the max provit. For me also as a quiet lover of nice design fashion i'm slowly i'm buying more 2nd from some brands or just buy no brand stuff. En personally i think Dior should get punished.

if a Chanel Long wallet is only £90, including craftsmanship and materials, according to Tanner Leatherstein, surely is the brand just sells the product for its actual price it would stop customers feeling robbed from and stop buying from cheaper bands that exploit human rights. Would that not help?

Not happening though. The brand would not be "luxurious" anymore, since all the costs for marketing and customer experience would not even be covered. No fashion shows would take place, no stores would open, no celebrities will wear their pieces, all the investors would leave, and the company will fail. There's a million other brands that sell higher quality goods at a much lower price point than designer brands, but people still choose brands like Chanel because of all the costs that goes into creating an illusionary "status" that will be granted to you if you spend more on designer brands.

​@@ilikealotofthings731 yes, I think Tanner Leatherstein also rightly points out in his videos that you are paying for marketing. All that margin likely goes towards the huge retail stores, sitting inventory, celebrity hires, etc. I think the issue here is that within all that margin none of it is going towards leather artisans themselves - which is a dying trade in Italy and France and the reason why so many Chinese related companies are coming into the area as well to fill that demand

I use my *yutulu* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.
