Dip and Rip very helpful, though recently I've finally nailed a Late Day VWAP Hold Pattern on VXRT or as Matt calls it "Gun Chart". It was beautiful. Perhaps you guys can provide some pointers on that in another video?

DPW created a rising wedge from the premarket till after the open. The Rip (Bump and Run) broke out to the upside signaled a reversal to the downside creating a ''I_-_I" top before selling off. ... Get a $2.00 Walmart dry erase board and draw, draw, draw.

I like the Dip and Rip idea. when you have momentum, in your side, shorts are panicking and bull candles are telling you "going this way" I go that way. Thanks Tim. I always have a stop idea first.

This Pattern along with first Green Day are my absolute favorite patterns. Awesome video is always Tim
@theycallmecoop4 жыл бұрын
What's the first green day?
@tacticaltradingpennystocks72064 жыл бұрын
Preferably with OTC stocks, it's when a company is having it's 1st Green day on the daily chart(up 45%++), with minimum +2 relative volume & has news. If it holds 80%+ of its gains going into the close, You buy in anticipation of a gap up the following day. I typically sell into strength on the following days run up or cut if it opens flat or lower. Sub to my channel for more info & great pennystock picks.

@@tacticaltradingpennystocks7206 Do you get anxiety?
@tacticaltradingpennystocks72064 жыл бұрын
@@luischavez5709 All the time.. But with experience it gets better. Although, I will say, playing distinct patterns, later in the day, like "VWAP Hold/H.O.D Break", Dip n' Rip & 1st Green Day" are MUCH less stressful & rather low anxiety trades. Playing the Gap N' Go on the open IS VERY STRESSFUL.

Thank you for this. I had been noticing this weeks ago, but did not know how to approach stocks that seem to explode with the first 14m of opening... This makes so much sense . So nice when you have a system to identify, confirm, execute, and have defined entry and exit points. You literally gave me the last piece of the puzzle I was missing.

Tim how to identify the dip and rip pattern. What’s the time frame to look at when trying to dip and rip?
@Stockstotrade4 жыл бұрын
Great question, Carl. Check out the video or the description to learn which time frame Tim looks for on these patterns!
@elpandecadadia25034 жыл бұрын
Usualy they look at the 1 min also 5 for what I can see.
@surfsunsand4 жыл бұрын
1 and 5 are the best HOWEVER, the dip will form a BIG candle on the 30 min. The rip is awesome to trade to the downside and then again to the upside. When the pattern dips to support I usually double my position to go long and scale out accordingly.

So basically you’re buying the break of the pre-market HOD? What type of order do you use? Do you put a stop limit buy order set at at the HOD? These things move so fast I find it hard to use a regular limit order and I know that market orders are a no-no

@StocksToTrade Thank you Tim! What if the stock doesn’t pullback? What if it just keeps going even at the open? At what point do you have a good feeling that momentum is still on your side? I’ve had a few that just explode straight away at market open, no dip and then I’m so self conscious I don’t buy. Meanwhile the stock continues to rocket, sometimes for an hour plus, then plummets back down.

One of your PM rules is a gap of at least 50%... Is that the Max PM gap % or the PM gap % at the open? Do you take into consideration any pullback in PM from the max height of the PM gap?

Hey Tim. Just wanted to thank you for sharing and going in depth on this pattern. Since May, I have made most of my profit following the Dip and Rip pattern or a variation of it like Dip and Rip ABCD. I'm still in the red in my overall account but for now the bleeding has stopped. Really appreciate you and the STT team having these videos to help with the learning process.

Thanks Tim, glad you said its a chasers market right now. I missed out big time on $GENE today. was waiting for the dip after market open to take position twice but it kept on with its running madness. it went from $2.80 a share at market open to almost $10 a share. i adjusted my entry positions twice, hoping for a pull back or retracement but the stock just kept on flying. I just sat there watching the price action and chewing on my tub. what a missed opportunity today. But thanks for the video again for saying its a chasers market right. I will be more aggressive next time.
