This video is fantastic!!! Clear and concise. Seriously - mornings are insane for me as a new trader and leading to inconsistency and holding and hoping. Going to do more watching and stick with the afternoons. Thank you Tim and Jack.

I've noticed, the PDT rule has cost more traders money than it has saved them from over trading. It is VERY HARD to cut a loss quickly when you are WASTING a valuable day trade by doing so. That was a hard flaw to correct in my game.

11:46 He snapped. AFTERNOON TRADES ONLY. Let support & resistance levels solidify. See which ones have good volume. Focus on breakouts that are holding over VWAP into close, w/ solid support solid catalyst solid SECTOR, w/ not too much resistance overhead, & potentially sell into GAP UP + MORNING SPIKE. Rinse & repeat. Also, watch morning panic dip buys but dont trade them yet just watch & try to learn, but they are a good use of your limited daytrades under PDT. Trade small, stay in the game, & just learning.

c christensen How long term do you play options?
@crazymyst8854 жыл бұрын
@@gappuma7883 I sell covered calls on somw long term pics but mostly swing trade during the day with options. I trade live daily with a group stock market live on you tube. If u have a small acct options is a great way to go. I started with only 500 in my Robinhood playing options. Only spend around 30 bucks on each play. Started last Oct and now up to 15k. It took me about 6mo to really get understanding of options. If u want to learn options for free check out trading fraternity's video library. And come on stream to ask any questions. I like Tim, he has great info too for trading in general. I learn from many dif channels learn to invest with Jimmy teaches about reading and analysis of stocks. He taught me a lot about div investing which is my long term acct I use etrade for it now no commissions on stocks but has fee for options
@gappuma78834 жыл бұрын
c christensen what type of stocks penny? bluechip? I trade options too mainly spreads on liquid bluechip stocks on tastyworks. How can you put in so little? What strike date you pick?
@crazymyst8854 жыл бұрын
@@gappuma7883 no we don't mess with penny stocks, many don't even have options anyways. Yes large cap mostly but no exact size limit. Strike of course depends on the stock. Check out trading fraternity you tube channel 1k videos in library covering so much and it's all free too. There is a link on his main channel to stock market live where we trade live amd stream during market hours every day. 9a to 4p est. Tag me in the chat when u stop by. I'm a moderator and almost always there. U can ask questions and either Josh or another person on stream will help out 99% of the time. Usually around 6k during the day so sometimes a question might get missed if that happens just send again. Most questions u will answer watching the videos or just being on stream. It's a great place to learn and only main rule is positive and respectful which keeps it a friendly place for traders to hang out.

But the cash account has no PDT rule ... so if you are not shorting, and dont need the margin account ... just use a cash account and you should be good.
