I saw this song recommended on tik tok and I really like it but it absolutely drives me crazy that the chorus is She's a slow sipper She's taking it slow That's why I love her and I Can't get her off of my mind WHEN IT SHOULD BE She's a slow sipper She's taking HER TIME That's why I love her and I Can't get her off of my mind Because time is a slant rhyme with mind and flows much better because it avoids using the same word (slow) used twice in such a close pattern. My brain wants to sing it my way every time. I'm willing to be proven wrong here but I think I'm right.

The only thing I can think of at the moment is wanting to emphasize "slow." But that's more of a literature or almost poem like structure? I think the way it's delivered fits the song, although I can completely understand how it would sound smoother the way you phrased it. Maybe I'm putting too much thought into it, but breaking the flow lyrically might be the point? Idk, that is probably just me reading into the feel of shit too much lol! I do love this song in general, so I am biased admittedly x'^) *Also I feel like because the "I" and the "mind" follow eachother it doesn't sound awkward. I get what rhyme scheme you're talking about, I just feel like it works either way is all. I'd love the song either way!
