@adriankalitka37629 ай бұрын
There's only a few goons who had CTE where fighting is blamed but they don't take into account hard hits to the head that actually cause concussions or how they played with concussions that didn't heal. Most of the fighters aren't getting concussions from the actual fights is what I'm getting at

What do you mean, the NHL dark side?? This is hockey and how it’s played……and what sort of hockey fan calls a hockey game a “match”. Not all hits were cheap shots and some were retribution to cheap shots.

Hi Isabell, I will take a look at the SHL and see what's available and out there for injuries. Our audience is largely NHL mostly in the US and Canada but I will look into this as well ! Thanks for the suggestions !

@paulh75899 ай бұрын
Share your thoughts in the comments? Okay...Most of these were clean hits. I never made it to the bigs but did play pro hockey. I'm a big guy (6'7" 250) I never fought in all my years of playing. I let guys punch me in the helmet with their bare hands. It hurt them more than it hurt me, AND we got powerplays out of it. If somebody really pissed me off I would barrel into them with all my speed and weight and take them out of the game. Would you rather get hit in the helmet by a bare fist or get hit by a 25mph 250lb missile? To me it was simple physics. I was mean, not dirty. Over time I gained a reputation and everyone wanted to kill me....Didn't bother me a bit. Now that I am 60 I almost cry when I get a sliver. I've turned into a wimp!
@hockeystop9 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing, hockey has definitely changed dramatically through the years, from game, to rule changes, injuries and more, it is a high risk sport for the toughest for sure. Wishing you the best !

@bassmandan948410 ай бұрын
I remember Keegan Kolesar’s hit on Tkachuk which broke Matthew’s sternum. Kolesar started moving at Tkachuk before he had possession of the puck. Should have been a charging call for that hit. Such a dick move to deliberately injure a star forward to give your team the upper hand in a cup finals game.

I get the biggest kick out of cheap shot Marchand. He made it clear he wouldn't allow any offense against his captain? Yea, he (yet again) went after one of the smaller players, who never fights. I wonder if Licker would've allowed that hit if it was Reaves who delivered it?
