that's the only good thing about an older bike is that you can tear it apart, spend a few bucks and make the thing nice as ever and make it how you want. GOOD JOB ON THE BIKE SO FAR BUDDY.

interesting to see if you notice it wouthout the reed sapcer , people usually leave them on with the rad valve , usually get a little more mid low with the sapcer there

Enduro North Nz Boyesen says not to use the spacer 🤷🏼‍♂️. We will see. I can always put it back in if I feel it necessary. I’m sure it’ll feel great no matter what. I wouldn’t mind having a top end screamer on this bike. I have the x for the low and slow.

Why puts a expensive new pipe on a bike that it'll probably get dinged because of going over logs and rocks?

mitcheljohnson why take a shower if you’ll get dirty again? Why live when you’ll end up dying in the future? 🤷🏽‍♂️
@BeRAD
@BeRAD 5 жыл бұрын
Beat up? It literally doesn’t have a single dent in it lol. It has a few small scratches which was all from only 2 rides I put on it. It’s unavoidable. No one wanted to sponsor a pipe. I sure wouldn’t throw an ugly chrome one on, only thing I’d do is a cone pipe. If you’d like to donate a bills cone pipe I’d gladly throw one on!! This is a budget build 😂

BeRAD Hahaha sorry for haggling you man, it just looks like it’s seen better days. Yeah, it wouldn’t change anything if you replace it. But, I mean, come on.. nothing like a brand new fresh pipe! At this point I’m ready to sneak into your garage and swap the pipe out for you when you’re asleep 😂

Farmer Rex be my guest and come put a fresh one on! Better yet just send one over and I’ll do it myself haha. It’s so nearly in perfect condition I jhstvdont find it necessary. All those nice Boysen covers would look so much better with some nice SS allen hex heads bolts. I always swap out to SS when doing my builds or updating things. Those stock phillips head( really JIS) are not aesthetically pleasing, IMO. Those M6 X 1.0 are an easy swap out. Great vid, as always.

allen Henry that they do! I have had the engine out of my 2016 once or twice and never used loctite on re-assembly. Haven’t had a single nut back off! I figure it won’t be much different on this one especially since the mounting taps squeeze in when torquing the bolts keeping it under constant tension. Thanks!!!

Nice built, but what I don't get here: 900 USD for the bike plus round about 6000 USD for the new parts plus your work time. That would be at least two brand new bikes... So I think you really wanted to this project :-) But overall nice job, looks really amazing :-)
@BeRAD

I had sponsors for most of the parts but it cost nowhere near $6000 to build it. Maybe $3000 at most for all of the parts if unpaid full retail for every item.
