The writers of this movie George Simpson and Neal R Burger wrote a book right around the same time as this movie was released. It covers many aspects of sci fi relevant at that time. Time travel personality transferrance.....the Bermuda triangle with a lot of pertinant information I didnt know existed at the time. Life after death all with a lot of technical info and both a WWII and 70s story line. Its called " Ghost Boat " and its a great read. Ive read it several times over ( read my original copy until it literally fell apart ) and I enjoy it every time.

Ambiguous interesting choice of word … they’re a daily occurrence in parts of the world. The only one’s making it ambiguous is the DoD … never mind the thousands upon thousands of first eye witness accounts from all walks of life, over so many decades worldwide including military to senior levels with strong credentials… supported by photographic evidence, radar and other sensor evidence, anecdotal eye witness accounts is still preliminary data … at some point a decision is going to need to be made as indigestible as it maybe for people who’d rather their presence didn’t exist for whatever ontological reasons, acknowledge their presence

It kept me wondering what the intention of SID was - cover-up, psy-op maintenance or national security emergency. Also, who/where is in charge. Great script too. Poor Glenn Ford, you would’ve thought a UFO stole off with his career after appearing in this movie. But he could have been under contract with the studio to appear in x-amount of movies. 🤷🏼‍♀️ It was written more like a fleeting thought rather than a story with a beginning and an end. But since it was Glenn Ford he’s allowed a pass on this flop…

One night as I looked out over Lake Ontario I saw that others were looking at the same thing as me. Seemed like a very bright light over the water that did not move or make sound. Found out the next day it was flares fired from a coast guard ship the flares had parachutes on them and the heat from the flare helped keep them up longer. Anyway it was a crashed yacht and a man died in the crash . Still from I think about five miles as the crow flies it all looked like some odd thing not of this world

This film is a good representation of how the military compartmentalizes each section of it's own units and investigators as well. It also shows you how the "Men in Black" work hand in hand with the Shadowy invisible Military Industrial Complex DARPA people. It shows also how pilots were routinely interrogated harshly (Which has been alleged for decades!) and no one even high up in rank knows who the hell is calling the shots?!👽

I didn't know they had hippies in the Airforce in the 60s. They're wearing their covers indoors?

A good movie. Yes I read somebody say that it was about a cover-up of UFOs and I agree. Why can’t there be another galaxy out there other beings out there? Is that really so inconceivable? I enjoyed this movie. Thanks for posting.

I was in the Air Force for 21 years and never would I wear cover on the flight line or inside a building like these hollywood people do.

When I saw Edward Winter come into the interrogation room I was hoping to hear the following: "Nobody says I'm here and I'm never here." "I'm with the CIA, but I tell people I'm in the CID so they think I'm in the CIG." "You may think your smart but you're very dumb, but you've met your match with me." "I'll get to the bottom of this even if I have to go right to the top." "You're going to stay loyal to the country that's going to hound your every step."

Kinda funny that the unit patch shows a silhouette f117 stealth bomber..
