😮 my sister and I took a DNA test a few years ago, and she was 98% Finnish Karelian and I'm 95%. Were all from Finland , but we didn't know more than that. Our mothers side is Sami. My father faught in WW2, he was a Finnish soldier. When he returned to his family farmland , it was taken by Russia. It was in the city called Vipuri. That land was in my dads family for hundreds of years.😢 he had passed away in 2020. He was 95. Xox❤

​@@jussikankinen9409 I took a My Heritage DNA test, and that's what it said. I'm 95% Karelian. And the little bit left was Italian and Greek. It shows on a map where my ancestors are from. Xox

Roots of the rus-peoples are all over the place. They're a mixed bag of Uralic and Finno-Ugric, Mongolian, Turkic and Slavic people, among many others - whatever Varangians, Cimmerians and Scyths there were in the past. Certainly the Moskova area was Finno-Ugric in the past but folks have moved around since that. Unfortunately stalin earlier and now putler pushes on the ge nocide and suppression of minorities.
