James Franco did a great job acting as a bad actor, how does that work?
@TylerNovakYT6 жыл бұрын
Ok, I know this is going to sound crazy but, I think the scenes from The Room were acted better than The Disaster Artist. I know, I know, but listen to me here. Tommy Wiseau, someone who's obviously terrible at acting, was simply told to act out a scene. It turned out horrible. However, James Franco, a GOOD actor, was told to terribly act out a scene. Crazily enough, I think you can see Franco's GOOD acting skills come into play a little here.

I definitely think the original was acted better.

Trying to impersonate poor acting is more difficult than actually being a poor actor.

+Dee Kay Agreed. You could see them all giving it their best shot, but they were nowhere near bad enough.

In my opinion this was James Franco’s best work, and of course the movie was really good, but James did such a freaking perfect as “tommy” for the movie! There’s literally no other actor that could have played tommy! And on a side note I have always thought he would be the perfect Charles Manson to play in another movie!

the original Lisa (Juliette Danielle) was so much hotter than the one in The disaster artist. They made a balls up in casting

*I'm a bit late to the party here but, how is this the first time I noticed that James Franco says one of the most well known movie quotes TWICE, (in 2 films?!) The first was when he played James Dean, who was the first to utter that famous line of, "you're tearing me apart!" when he does so in, "Rebel Without a Cause." Then, here in "the Room" as Tommy Wiseau, Franco again says that line. Idk, I'm a weird girl who likes when I spot random movie trivia like that. For anyone else who also appreciates such an observation...you're welcome! LOL* 😁
This is basically Ed Wood for the 21st Century. I love it ❤️❤️❤️

The Disaster Artist was good except for the "I did not hit her" bit... too understated, Wisseu really screws his face up more as he's saying "I did naaaaht!".

Actually the Chris R scene is a deleted scene and it is on youtube. They recreated it at the rooftop.

The "you are tearing me apart lisa" is way better in the original. It was pure gold.
