May is another japanese descendant who's colony was destroyed, she was adopted by Johnny on May (hence the name) and grew up without knowing about her racial origins. Johnny is a sky pirate who acts in a Robin Hood kind of way and it's very fond on women, to the point that his crew, the Jellyfish Pirates, are made up of a bunch of adopted girls, a cat and an old lady. He may look just like a womanizer gambler, but he actually holds great respect towards women, and that's why he doesn't see any of his crewmates as lovers or something similar, wich is unfortunate for May since she has been in love with him for a loooong time
