I was thinking about this yesterday. When they try to recreate it - either in studio or by attempting to return to a jam and then compose a song out of it - sometimes it just doesn't *quite* hit the mark. Take 02/04/16 Munchkin Invasion -> Tricycle for example. Don't get me wrong - i *LOVE* that they went back to it and walked away from it with a song. But, so far anyways, no version of Times Square quite touches the OG jam; that which they pulled out of the primordial soupy ether. Testament to how incredible a unit they really are. We're *so* lucky that The Disco Biscuits is performing in 2022, and doing so at this level. That 2023 looks like a go, as well.

Also, i forgot to mention it even though i was thinking it: thank you dearly for those super generous words. I know all too well that a lot of people who use YT don't take the time to leave comments, or hit the thumbs up button, or subscribe - all of which obviously affects the algorithm, which is what it is - and a lot of users who do leave comments can often be vile, trolling, complaining, etc. A *lot* of people who surf my channel are *not* like that, and i *do* notice this. (rambling warning) I was vigilant trying to keep those types away when they appeared in the first few years. These types are in every community. But there haven't been that many. This is testament to the inherently *nice* community that The Disco Biscuits have worked to attract, filter, and repel when necessary. Perhaps it wasn't the case in the past, but disturbing stories fr Biscuits events thankfully have become more and more scarce. Running a (now) fairly public page catering to Biscuits' fanbase, i interact with a lot of the fans by that virtue alone, and the fanbase is overwhelmingly positive at this point in time. For that, as well as the band still performing and still accepting shows, i'm extremely grateful. Always Love.

They tried new combinations with new tunes as well as new inversions and dyslexic architecture of a couple of tunes and it was a struggle all night. Marc said something to that effect on twitter as well a few days later. No harm no foul. You can't grow if you don't take chances. Sometimes you fall flat on your face but that's OK. They are my Beatles :)
