The Colne to Skipton railway that was torn up in the 1970s, which similarly crossed the Pennines to the Leeds-Liverpool canal and its route has an exciting story in this video; we briefly cover the topic from the top down, talking about the closure and how the group SELRAP is currently campaigning for the route to be reintroduced as part of the strategic network of the north.
