TheLightBad96 here with Episode 6 of Syphon Filter 1 (1999) for the PSX (using EPSXE ) today.

In this Episode I find out that Lian is captured and my boss sends me out on another mission IN a Cathedral in Kazakhstan, Well it looks like a Cathedral Form the Outside with monks walking in silent prayer but on the inside its a Bio-Laboratory with Scientists and the So-Called Monks Are Carrying AK's and Auto Glocks.

I've contemplated replaying this, with better cropping and better video quality. Either way this series would never get remade properly if not at all in the current year, especially since the whole premise of the game is about a viral weapon.

@@Lil_Johnny_Red I think this game could never get any better remake expect for the videos, and repairing some bugs, either way, the music, ambiance and is pure perfection. I'm just replaying it after many years and its still one of the best espionnage game with Metal gear solid at the time. I like the trilogy very much,

Man, i've not played this in years, I didn't grow up with it either so no I didn't know all the tricks. I should probably re-record this at some point, I'm not very fond of the "Cropping" work around i had to do just to record it and I didn't have the best editing software back then either.

@@Lil_Johnny_Red no worries, Syphon Filter is a childhood gem for me so I'm just glad to see it being played. But yeah shooting the chandeliers brings them down with an explosion and in that same level you can shoot flasks in the lab and have the gas kill the enemies

@@wanted1995sully that is good to know.. It might not have been a childhood thing for me, rather a game i thought was fun to play after looking for Roms/Isos to emulate "because screw paying over-inflated prices for old games and hardware". But yeah... the PS1 Trilogy kicks ass.. I kinda wished there was a PC port of this game, even a fan made hack/patch that gives proper KB-M support for the game and maybe some Widescreen support, nothing fancy like Bloom, Realistic Lighting or some other fancy stuff needed.

​@@Lil_Johnny_Red yeah a good high-res optimized port would be cool and of course it would be nice to see it get the Spyro and Crash treatment with the remakes but that's doubtful The original Trilogy is very good there's also The Omega Strain on PS2 as well Dark Mirror and Logan's shadow. Those last two aren't the best but I enjoyed them. If you haven't checked out The Omega Strain I recommend it if you liked the original. It's kind of like the PS1 games but with light-RPG mechanics. You customize a character and choose a loadout from weapons that you unlock through normal gameplay by accomplishing certain feats like headshots, explosives, non-lethal and all that.

Yes, I'm running it on an emulator. I don't own a PSX. I own a PS2 but not the ps1.
