Rape is not just a matter of “overpowering”, it’s also manipulation and coercion
@shooshiMooshi
@shooshiMooshi Жыл бұрын
true but also…what kind of leverage would the kid have during high school when their “special” relationship started? like to be able to manipulate the father? no way the dad was drunk AT A HIGH SCHOOL PROM right? so being under the influence is out of the question most likely. dad is POSSIBLY also in the wrong for however it started but that's where he then 100% becomes a victim of his son

From what I understand, the dad was in shock when it happened. The son forced himself onto his own dad cuz it seemed he could easily overpower his own father, so he basically gr@ped him. I think the dad wasn't even aware that his son was in love with him or know that his son lusted after him. He didn't even see the picture at the beginning if I remember correctly. A lot of SA victims enter in a state of shock when they're forced to do something and you don't even react. It's like when somebody brings up the argument: "They didn't say no" Just because they didn't say no doesn't mean it's a yes. Imagine picking your son up from a prom night and he suddenly forces himself upon you, overpowering you and leaving you with such harsh physical and emotional scars. Or worse, he basically manipulates you and coerced you into doing it. For all we know, the son probably threatened him with saying that he could tell everyone that his father touched him inappropriately and nobody would believe him to be innocent, but that's just my theory. You'd also be in a state of shock. And the fact that the son said: "something that you started." I don't think the dad started it. He was completely paralyzed in fear and entered in a panicked state whenever he heard his son coming near his office. Nobody and nothing can prepare you for that kind of situation. How we think we would react is not exactly how we would react. You have to go through the shock, the grief, the mourning of that relationship, the confusion and the feeling of being completely violated by your OWN SON. The son is basically blaming him for his own twisted love when the dad was talking about the masturbation, that it was normal for boys his age and that his hormones were basically going haywire. The son misunderstood that and took it in a literal way, probably thinking that his dad went through the same thing, which maybe caused him to be more bold. The dad was innocent, imo. He went through a rollercoaster of emotions all because of a simple misunderstanding and paid the price for it.
@shooshiMooshi

yeah that’s the thing. none of us know exactly what happened on the night of prom or whenever they first “did it”. maybe the dad was coerced or manipulated (probably the most likely). but yeah we don’t know 100%. all we can do is speculate. if a 25 year old guy had intercourse with a 16-18 year old girl and then he says that she forced herself on him. i’m obviously still starting off on the 25 year olds side, but more information is needed just to be safe. we’d all need to know information like, was the younger person stronger than them, did they blackmail, manipulate etc. that specific night was left out of this movie unfortunately :/. but yeah after that night, it’s no longer a mystery that the dad is 100% innocent

@shooshiMooshi
@shooshiMooshi Жыл бұрын
no yeah i need to make clear that EVERYTHING IM SAYING OR SPECULATING is on a MICRO scale. aka i’m focusing on only this video/film/scenario. i’m not speaking on a MACRO scale, aka ALL male victims of SA. i’ve always believed that men can get SA’d too. i just raised questions about the first night they EVER had sexual contact which was when the son was possibly 16-18 years of age. asking questions doesn’t mean you’re doubting or blaming :). just like how you’d ask questions if it came out that a 25 year old guy had intercourse with a 16-18 year old girl and then he says that she forced herself on him. i’m obviously still starting off on the 25 year olds side, but more information is needed just to be safe. information like was the younger person stronger than them? Did they blackmail or manipulate etc? that specific night was left out of this movie unfortunately :/. but yeah after that night, it’s no longer a mystery that the dad is 100% without a doubt innocent also yeah some of my jokes were tone deaf. when i said things like “grow a pair and beat him up/stop him”, i’m not saying that to ALL MALE VICTIMS IN *REAL LIFE*. i basically said that more so to bully that monster of a son and pray for his downfall with chat. i wanted the son to face consequences sooo bad. i have a habit of getting too hyper on stream because i want to entertain y’all, but i need to balance wanting to be an entertainer, with being mindful. because yeah my ACTUAL understanding and analysis of the video was ALWAYS that the dad is the victim and was simply afraid of his abuser and of public perception which is what happens to irl victims! male or female

Ok. This 'it was the dads fault' Is making me feel gross. It is 100% possible for someone younger to assault someone older. The son is younger and possibly stronger, also he sounds very experienced in manipulating. He have manipulated his father/guilt tripped or in worse case straight up assaulted his father then guilttripped him saying its his fault. This can happen irl too. Im pretty sure they're are cases similar where someone younger is doing this.

Yes! I have heard cases of child on parent DV, it's clearly an awkward position to be in, like where do you start in calling your offspring out as an abuser? How and when could this have begun is something to dwell on. Do you keep it to yourself to not? You will compromise your child and upset other family if you don't keep quiet, or do you speak and who do you reach out to? No matter what the family is ruined, the fault lies with the abuser who is all in it for themselves but the victim will always have to answer for it. People exploit others natures, this movie is a clear case of that. This dad was sweet natured, IRL I have a friend who was in a DV relationship with a man (before we met) who come across as the nicer one in the relationship because she was a loudmouth tomboy who used to fight a lot when she was a kid, he was beating her and she would lie and say she was injured in accidents, when she did speak out people bought his argument of self defense.

This movie is a great exemple of the fact that sexual abuse and rape can go to both women and men. And also young and old people. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the son literally forced himself upon his own father. Which sticks to the topic of the movie; which is anything related to sexual interactions. The son was in no right, whatsoever, to make his own dad to do something he doesn’t want to. To any victims of SA, speak up. You’re not alone.

Despite this being absolutely sickening, its a good short movie with the way it tells people that sometimes age has nothing to do when it comes to abuse. This happens in real life cases aswell, or in the internet, people will always blame the older person in scenarios like this. While this might be true at most times, its still a blind assumption. There are evil kids in this world. There are naive adults. Minors are very capable of manipulating adults, even their own parents or relatives. This is something that should be seen and understood

THIS!!! I'm writing a novel that's will shed light onto this as well as other things. The novel takes place in the German Empire in the year 1890 and is about a 16 year old duchess who's a cambion (half human, half demoness) and seeking revenge after her parents are murdered. The main character is sweet and some people are easily manipulated by her because she's a girl and during that time, it was believed that a girl wasn't capable of committing a crime, let alone killing somebody. Ariesia (who goes by the alias "Bellina" to protect her identity and is the main character) is really sweet however she won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to get the info she needs. Her being 16, a girl, and a duchess won't stop her from avenging her late parents ❤

“The mom never did anything” From what I saw, it seemed more as though the mother was in denial of it happening. Lots of people would say that with a women wtf? Also I think it had more to do with the fact that the dad was in a position of power, a parent, older. People don’t understand that younger people can control someone older, or that parents can be under control of their children. Everyone immediately assumes children/younger people are the victim because society portrays the idea that they have no power which just isn’t true. They can be awful, and it’s not always an adults fault.

My theory is that the son “loved” his dad MUCH more than his mom. He thought that his parents had a loveless marriage. I don’t think the dad is 100% innocent but I do think that the son is more in the wrong. I think the son manipulated the dad and had an unhealthy obsession with him which lead to him loving him in a non normal way. The dad was probably ashamed and embarrassed to the point where he felt like he couldn’t talk about it, like many SA victims. I think during the 14 years the dad may have tried to stop it but never be able too. He wrote the book as a way to finally speak up and share his story, as it’s very hard for people in that situation to talk about it. Edit : This was just my initial thoughts , so if some things I said don’t make sense I’m sorry . Yes the dad probably was a creep to his son at the beginning but at the end of the day everything is left up for speculation

You do realize that even if someone is physically and mentally "bigger" that doesn't mean they have the mental power to stop someone. How you feel mentally is how you feel physically it's either fright or flight. Everyone can flight but in fright you cant. I am always the bigger person but there are some times where I freeze up or just let ppl talk abt me or talk to me wrong instead of telling them to stop. Now I ain't never gone through something like this. But there are times where the shock and fear takes over. If I had a child like this I would tell them stop, but stuff like this you just can't say "hey that's not okay" when they are over the age of elementary and are teens that's something you can't just say stop and no one wants to put their hands on their kids no matter how hard it is and considering that the dad is getting older and weaker and the son is only getting stronger and bigger, what more can you do? Plus with all the gaslighting and manipulation on top of both being men.

So yeah its been confirmed this short film is about the abuse of children at the hands of their parents (in this case, the father) However its message is made more shocking by switching the role of the father with the son. Thats why in the end of the story, the son was wearing the clothing of the father. For the whole story, the son was in the role of the adult and the adult was in the role of the minor. Thats why the power imbalance was so prominent and confusing.

It's not easy to just tell people that someone's been doing something to you for a long time, and trying to tell his wife through his writing is something I really related with,,,,,, I'm certainly not mad but just hope that you could educate yourself a little more on the complexity victims feel. I think it draws the line on how people shouldn't blame the victim. Adults would have done everything to make a young child do good but still turn out bad. This short movie really gave you that insight on how heavy it is for a victim to be a kid or an adult just as much as how the abuser CAN ALSO be the kid or an adult. It's a tragic story of a family that has been broken for many reasons. Because when abuse comes into a picture, no matter how you can see the colours and strokes ABUSE is still ABUSE. Blaming is the next part of the abuse, who's in the wrong? It's obvious we can point it at the son that easily since he's the one that coerce the dad. We could end the discussion with that. But people forget that the people who were silent were also part of it. The mother knew all along but refused to report it or push away the son and even worse REFUSE TO ACKNOWLEDGE it. The dad probably had his shortcomings during his guidance on his son, but it's not to be a reason for him be punished for it or be blamed of the abuse just from that. Ps. Shoosh, it's alright. I get how you confused on the details, it has big loops and plots that we wouldn't know.

R@pe is r@pe. Even if the minor is the one forcing themselves onto the adult. There was a case some what similar to this in my town that happened a few years back when I was a kid, I remember hearing a lot of news reports about it and revisited it recently. There was this teacher who was just a 26 year old woman. She was very kind to all her students but one of her students took her kindness as affection and tried to make a move on her. She rejected immediately but the student didn’t like that and forced himself on her. She was a weak woman and was underweight but she says that she believes she might have been able to grab something around and hit him with it and it could buy her sometime to run but the overwhelming fear she felt stopped her from even screaming. All she could do was stay still and cry in pain. I’m not going to go too into the details because her description of what had happened was horrifying. This continues because the student threatens to tell people that she was the one who started this and that he had wanted no part in it till she had started to use his grades against him. He made it out that she was the manipulative one when in reality he was the one manipulating and blackmailing her, he would take photos of her in certain positions to further overpower her. This would go on for 4 years or so and the student would go to college but the student would still maintain the toxic relationship until he decided to release the photos and the school the teacher worked at found out. She was then fired and put under investigation. The photos showed a lot of signs of no consensual sexu@l activity which were used as evidence for her r@pe. There was other evidence such as a video showing the r@pe. Despite the clear evidence of r@pe and she clearly did not want to do anything with the student, she was listed as a s*x offender and went to prison for around 6 months. Her punishment was lighter since she was a woman but the student even though they did find clear and definitive evidence for the r@pe, the prime piece being the video that showed there was no consent, the student wasn’t charged with anything since what had happened was considered a mistake and let him off to not spoil his athletic scholarship. The woman was never able to show her face in our town again and she moved after getting out of prison doing whatever she may. The father was definitely manipulated and likely upon the first occurrence of his son’s abuse he was over taken in such a state of shock that he couldn’t move or defend himself. His age might also have a play since his son was in high school and probably stronger than a 40-50 year old man who already seems so caring towards his son that hurting him or his son hurting him would be out of the question and just impossible in the poor father’s eyes. The father was an oblivious prey during the first interaction. He became a victim after that. Sorry if it’s hard to read, English isn’t my first language.

It wasn't the father's fault, nor did he enjoy it in any way. The father was afraid to speak because he felt it was his fault for letting everything happen, he felt it was his fault for being abused. He knew that people would blame him since the son was a minor when it all started. The father, for fear that something would happen to his son, or that the son himself would do something to him, did not say anything during all that time.

18:51 I really disagree that the dad should've stopped it, because to me, it really seems like he never instigated anything himself, and was abused from the start (a common way to victim blame is to say that the victim "started it" or "seduced" the abuser), it kind of hurts to see so many comments say that the dad should've done something because (at least to me) the dad was too scared to fight back from the very beginning; it is far harder to fight back when YOU are the one in his position and the fear you feel when you are in his place is very real, I love this film for portraying that so well

I actually heard that the roles were reversed on purpose to get a reaction from the audience. It flips the dynamic of SA that goes on in families. In the film the dad is the one getting assaulted and the son is the abuser. While more realistically the dad would be the abuser and the son would be the victim. A lot of ppl found the film funny which is not surprising considering that male SA is often played for laughs.
@five.is.da.best.numba..

I’d say the film is less about the double standards of male SA (which is still a problem btw) and more about the double standard of the abuser being younger than the victim.

i feel like this movie is a graphic way of showing the abusive relationships some parents have with their kids but to make it more shocking the roles are reversed, that's why the dad couldn't leave or even talk back(kids with abusive parents are enabled to be independent by their parents to leave them no choice but to stay with them) and why the mom tried to ignore it even if she could stop it(the other parent often doesn't say anything even if they're aware of their kids being mistreated because of fear). the son also was emotionally manipulating the dad by making his feel guilty(in this case he would be guilty because he should had the power to stop him but abused kids don't have the power to do anything) the ending is the saddest part because the dad ran to his d3ath(could be a way to portray how abused kids feel like svic1de is the only option) and the mom burnt the book because it was the only way the truth could come out and she didn't want to deal with the shame or guilt(parents often keep their kids svic1de letters a secret to avoid guilt)

The topic is a very important and sensitive subject. But the way this content creator addresses it and treat it is not well done. I wished that not everyone started to make videos about serious stuff as a way to get views if they can't be mature and empathetic enough themselves to talk correctly about these kind of things. The movie is about incest. A dad is being raped bu is son. If it was the other way around, no one would say that the person being raped by a family member is "letting it happen" and "as guilty and fucked up" as the raper.

this scene at 14:30 speaks levels to me. if you can notice the aireal view shows us the entirety of the bathroom: all of its corners and walls. notice the lack of windows or alternate doors. its supposed to make you feel trapped, to show you that there was nowhere for the dad to escape. it helps emulate the feelings of being trapped and helpless, like many SA victims describe themselves feeling. the same thing was noticeable in the boy's room: one solitary window. he had the chance to back out, but he didn't. it looked as if he was the helpless one, but it turns out he was the true manipulator. Funny enough (disgusting enough), I have a similar story in my family. My adoptive sister (let's call her Julie) and my adoptive brother (let's call him William) one night, had sex together. It was determined in court that William raped Julie. William went to a juvenile detention center (they were both about 15 yo) and Julie went to an in-house mental health treatment center. Years later, now as adults, Julie admitted to another sister of mine that the sexual encounter was actually consentual, on both sides. Julie was getting into trouble at school, and Mom took notice. She was cutting herself, and Mom wanted to get her help. Julie didn't want help; she didn't want to go to therapy. So, she lied and said William raped her, believing that saying so would somehow get her out of going to therapy. It obviously didn't work as she had hoped. William was absolutely fucked over in that situation, but he not a good person, in my opinion. He hates our father, as she has recently come out as transgender. William tried to lie and say that our father raped me. He knew the concequences for that lie first hand, yet he was willing to enact that same cruelty on the man who raised him, all because she was never truely a man. She raised him better than his own blood parents did, and that's what she gets as thanks. And don't get me started on Julie's bad actions. I know that all probably sounds like r/thathappened, but I promise it's true. There are still papers from court lying around the house somewhere. Shooshi might have been a bit critical of the dad, but I think some questioning is healthy. Yes, the supposed victim may truely be a victim. In that case, get them help. But bad people can play victim. The world is complex. Anything can happen. In an ideal world, the victim should feel safe to report abuse, and the investigative forces shouldn't jump to ANY conclusions. All avenues should be explored. ...Sorry for the rant, lol

okay, the whole "the dad is at fault" thing made me feel sick to my stomach when watching. it's VERY possible for a younger individual to do something like this, and the son seemed like he was experienced on a whole other level of manipulating. the dad also seemed to be stopping himself from telling someone (which is very common in people who've been SA'd), like the son had told him something to make him stop.

Most people don’t understand that sometimes when a victim is being gr@ped/sexually assaulted sometimes they freeze up. Basically meaning, the dad did not know what to do in the situation. Fight, flight, or freeze. Just because the son was a minor doesn’t make the dad the abuser. The son is the abuser. Victim blaming the dad because the son was in high school is ridiculous imo. The son’s manipulation tactics also are the main reason there is such a power imbalance in their relationship.

Honestly this entire film is so saddening. It's hard enough for male victims of SA to come forward, but it's not often considered how hard it would be for a male victim in a situation like this to come forward. In fact, I don't think I've ever even heard the event of a son sexually abusing his father being spoken of before. Works like this are important (imo) because they open peoples eyes to very real scenarios that are never discussed. Honestly, I hadn't even thought of the possibility before this- as bad as that sounds. What are you even meant to do in that situation? even if you take the very clear and disgusting manipulation out of the equasion, it would be very easy for the son to just turn things around and lie about his father being the perpetrator. The bathroom scene in particular had me crying, there's something about the father finally getting a repreieve only to open his eyes to something so horrible that makes it feel so sad and disgusting.

Where your body and mind is frozen so you’re unable to really talk or react in any way. Imagine being hit on by your son, That could cause a freeze reaction. It was SA wether the sons age, role in the family or gender. The son was at fault, and the dad’s reaction was normal as many SA victims experience the same freeze state.

i think the part right before the dad died is important, it's obvious the son is victim-blaming and guilt-tripping his father, and it looks like it's something he does every time the dad is trying to break off their twisted relationship. from the looks of it he does this every time and it always works, but this time the dad actually breaks away from it; he's literally had enough. even though he died in the end, i'm glad he had control over his own life.

the fact that my cat came in for attention shortly after I finished watching this, I think she knew I was in extreme discomfort 💀 but like it's uncomfortable and gross for a reason, it's not purely for shock value and I respect that they tackled this heavy subject matter and how it's not always the parent that's the abuser, and it's not always the child that's the victim. I think the dad just didn't reinforce his son's behavior enough, who very much seemed to be mentally disturbed like this from a young age. the dad didn't fight back enough and kinda just let it happen at first, and maybe it's possible he did feel something from that intro, but he absolutely became the victim and deeply regretted past mistakes. they both did things wrong and the wife was kind of an enabler for just letting it happen. it's extremely difficult to talk about things like this but some kind of intervention could have possibly prevented the tragic outcome, and neither of the parents had the courage to speak out loud about it out of fear of what could happen. the dad just gave his wife a book of confessions and hoped for the best, and the mom just kept quiet even though she already knew exactly what was going on. they never had the courage to talk about it, until it was too late. even if the dad lost his wife from telling her, or even if the son was seen as mentally disturbed and therefore attempted to be given proper treatment (or be arrested, honestly who knows), things might have eventually improved, or at least been easier to move on from. I think their lack of communication with heavy problems like this is what ultimately screwed them over in the end. that's just my take on it though.

okey so hear me out. sexual abuse in men still nowadays a taboo, and that's why a lot of people feels confused abt the film; if the roles were different, a father-daughter relationship where the dad's the abuser, the context would be waaay easier to understand. the son's keeping the position of a manipulative abuser with no regrets, and the dad the victim who's being intimidated. the discussion that takes part in the min 17:07 it seems like the son is attributing all the fault to his dad, like he provoked him somehow. its exactly the same situation when abusers or other people blame the victim of what just happened, asking what they're wearing or insinuating that they provoke them. i just feel that all have been said in the discussion is something a disturbed dad who's keeping abusing his child would say to manipulate the kid and make him feel like he caused all this, to make him feel guilty, tho. and when the mom doesn't do anything for the dad is just smth so real THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS, people covering crimes because family members commits them. if you think abt this film with different roles, it's less confusing to understand. also, the idea of the film is pretty ingenious. the whole situation made us think that the dad may have done something wrong that let all this situation happens, we're not believing in the victim because we think that he could do anything to protect himself, and that's why we think that he's not as innocent. why we keep insisting in that part? do we unconsciously think that by the fact he's a man, he can be emotionally or physically strong enough to stop everything? or that he have the authority because he's the dad? i don't even know why i was suspicious about the dad at first when he was just being intimidated and basically tortured with the son's actions, dad is just acting like ANY SCARED, BRAINWASHED VICTIM WOULD. i think that this kind of effects comes with the taboo of man being sexually assaulted and by the idea that a lot of people (subconsciously or not) have about men being way too strong or anti-fragile to let all this occurs. people need to be more self-aware about it, men can also be victims. its crazy that we can't believe that the dad couldn't do more to avoid the abuses. imagine saying to a rape victim that she/he could have stopped her/his abuser. y'all being confused by the son saying the dad started everything when he's just being manipulative and blaming his father because maybe in his twisted mind he thinks he has the right to assault him cuz "he provoked it".

Dude I feel so bad for the dad because it wasn’t his fault, he was trying his best to be a great father for his son and his son just thought of it as a “fetish” honestly it’s disgusting how the son can be so affectionate towards his dad when they’re literally blood related. The dad should have been more cared for because I could see the fear in his eyes whenever anything happened involving his son. Especially the bathroom scene, really needed to have some family therapy in my opinion dude.

I dont know how to feel whenever people blame the dad cause just because he's older and a man, people immediately assume he had some sort of consent in this. This film was basically how just about anybody can be a victim and an abuser. Also the fact "he let it happen" doesnt mean he wanted it. Many SA victims freeze because their perpetrator is physically stronger than them, or they hold something that mentally fucks with them. Its so sad cause he's obviously the victim 😭

@anthonyhuaman2795 aint no way you just victim blamed 💀 Its like telling a girl its her fault for the way she's dressed- not even that but not everyone has the backbone or even ability to hit someone they care about. Why do you think most rape cases are between family members and friends?

I think it’s because we don’t have enough context on whenever the sexual side of the relationship start. Because if it started when the son was a minor, the dad has some fault. But if the son was older and stronger, that would be different. The dad could have been powerless. But the dad is the victim in this. We don’t even have a explanation of why the son is so fucked up.

Shooshi, i get that you're on the dad's side, but my god you said some really nasty stuff here. Telling a victim of abuse to grow a pair and kill his own son, blaming him for being gr@ped when he went to pick up his son from prom, trying to blame it on the father for starting it when that isn't at all what was implied by the visuals; what the fuck, dude? The father told his son that masturbation was natural, not knowing that his son was jerking off to a picture of him. That's what the son is saying when he says the father started this. The father didn't gr@pe his son, he accidentally reaffirmed the son's !nce$tu0us thoughts. And it's not bad parenting either. It is very common for @bu$e and gr@pe victims to not say anything out of fear for themselves, and it's especially difficult for family situations where the child is committing the crime because parents will often lie to keep their child safe. It happens on all levels from petty lies to murder. And @bu$ers will manipulate the shit out of their victims. That's why you often hear them say that the victim was/is a partner in crime for being a participant. *Quick edit: Just a reminder that the earliest sexual incident between the two happened on the son's prom night, meaning the the son was 17-19. I had a guy at my own high-school in that age range who was an absolute creep. Just because he was younger than the dad does not mean that he had little power at the time. I understand missing or misinterpreting things, but I just pointed out some very easy dots to connect. This was just full of bad takes and a lack of care for the material being explored in this film, and it's really gross. Maybe now that I've explained it you'll get it, because even in the replies you've made to comments you've failed to see this. I'm not saying this as some hater who wants to point out any mistakes you've made, I'm saying this as a fan of your content and out of respect. I don't want to see you make such poor takes on serious subjects like this because I give a shit. I love your content, and I will gladly criticize you when you make mistakes as big as this one because I want you to succeed. I look forward to the next video

NOTE THAT THIS IS A COPY PASTE OF MY REPLY TO THE PINNED COMMENT SINCE IT EXPLAINS A LOT hehe no yeah i need to make clear that EVERYTHING IM SAYING OR SPECULATING is on a MICRO scale. aka i’m focusing on only this video/film/scenario. i’m not speaking on a MACRO scale, aka ALL male victims of SA. i’ve always believed that men can get SA’d too. i just raised questions about the first night they EVER had sexual contact which was when the son was possibly 16-18 years of age. asking questions isn’t blaming the dad. just like how you’d ask questions if it came out that a 25 year old guy had intercourse with a 16-18 year old girl and then he says that she forced herself on him. i’m obviously still starting off on the 25 year olds side, but more information is needed just to be safe. info like was the younger person stronger than then, did they blackmail, manipulate etc. that specific night was left out of this movie unfortunately :/. but yeah after that night, it’s no longer a mystery that the dad is 100% innocent also yeah some of my jokes were tone deaf. when i said things like “grow a pair and beat him up/stop him”, i’m not saying that to ALL MALE VICTIMS IN *REAL LIFE*. i’m saying that more so to bully that monster of a “son” in this movie haha. i wanted the son to face consequences sooo bad. i have a habit of getting too hyper on stream because i want to entertain y’all, but i need to balance wanting to be an entertainer, and being mindful. because yeah my ACTUAL understanding and analysis of the video was ALWAYS that the dad is the victim and was simply afraid of his abuser and of public perception which is what happens to irl victims! male or female

@@shooshiMooshi I completely understand where the jokes come from, it's just one of those situations where jokes feel gross in their own way because of what they're a response to. I also get wanting more clear cut info on what happened the first time, but I do believe that they get the point across without giving you too much. A bit of a '"how don't tell" if you will. It's also just a frustrating thing for me to watch someone not see something that I so easily can. I just also feel that some questions were asked in a way that subtley put some blame on the victim of this story, which is always uncomfortable to watch. Like I said, I'm a fan of your content, and I can't wait for the next video, I'm just saying this to express my point of view and some frustrations I had, and I want to help you by giving my feedback. I think that this one will just be one of those weird ones where the subject matter is so strange and horrific that people's feelings about it and your reactions and chat's reactions are going to be very varied and often emotional. I just found some of the jokes distasteful and some of the comments and questions made to be a bit too accusatory of the victim. Still I overall did enjoy this and enjoyed watching you piece some of the things together that you did catch.

@@AkachoOmulepu that's not how the Internet works, buddy. If people apologize, it's always fake. If people have opinions, they're bullied for it. Victim blaming is disgusting, yes, but it's not as simple as asking someone to apologize. If you tell someone to apologize, they'll only double down on their stances, which will only add fuel to the fire. Remember what happened with Grey DeLisle and the whole AI fiasco? Everyone is to blame, because society as a whole is NOT ready for social media, and never will be.

Dude, I feel it's repulsive how you blame the father. The father is clearly the victim, and a victim, whatever his age and rank (father, mother, son, friend, etc.) is, they continue to have human feelings and behavior. Many people remain silent out of fear, so it is REASONABLE why the father let it happen and why he never did anything among the many times it happened. The son is shit, period, it bothers me that you agree with the son about placing the same amount of blame on the father. Like, WTF. You say you're on the father's side, but nothing you said or how you expressed yourself showed that. NOTHING. You use as a reason the fact that the boy was too young to do it, around 16-17 years old, but a monster like the one shown in the film can come from many ages. The son had feelings for his father and abused him. The father was traumatized to the fact that his OWN SON had touched him in that way, even the mother lets us know that the poor man felt guilty for allowing it, since the poor man was crying inside the bathroom still unable to believe what happened. Really, your reaction this time made me very angry. Very, very angry. Jesus. Edit: I read what you wrote in comments, but I still needed to get this out of my system because it gave me a lot of courage.
