I’ve never seen the medical community as divided as it is today regarding this issue. Pretty tough to completely dismiss him when so many “experts” have repeatedly been in error for 2+ years. Campbell is pro-vaccine but is unafraid to share data that differs from his personal opinions. I find him to be a person with integrity.

I agree he at least thinks for himself. There are many discrepancies with covid. I refuse to take this vaccine If they come out with an old-school vaccine bet I will. But I'm not allowing a experimental synthetic version of human messenger dna to be willingly put in my bloodstream. Especially considering my body has made antibodies just fine without it. "reviewing" and "explaining" published data and medical studies does not mean you *correctly* review and explain them. If you then also cherry pick what to show (and promote), while leaving out other stuff and thrashing it, even though it clearly is much higher quality, he's doing pseudoscience. For example, when he uses public data to argue that we may be overcounting COVID deaths by a factor 7, 8, or 9, just because some 80-90% of COVID deaths had pre-existing conditions, he's misrepresenting reality. He is in essence arguing that someone who has cancer who dies in a car crash, died because of the cancer, and not the car crash.

I’m a physician and I disagree with your statement that Dr. Campbell has done damage. He’s creating awareness of issues that should be openly discussed, not dismissed. To question is what science is all about and he backs up his statements with studies. The real problem lies with a lack of scientific discourse about the risks and benefits of a new therapy.

I find it weird that you refer to him as "Dr." Campbell. He's not a medical doctor. He received an honorary Ph.D in 2013 just short before his retirement, from the university where his brother works. Yesterday Dr. Campbell began his talk concerning "excess deaths" with a story of a cyclist who died suddenly of a heart attack. This was one cyclist, not dozens, and what may have caused his heart attack is unknown. I tried to figure out why he would begin his talk with an antidotal story and to go a step further, why begin his talk with a story like that? Why not include examples of a person who died from diabetes and/or colon cancer? Anyway, so much for Dr. Campbell being free of sensationalism and scaremongering. Sadly, I am convinced he is playing to the anti-medical crowd which now flood his comment section.

A lot of the medical/scientific community seem a bit biased, they'll jump at any claim stating the possibility of the vaccines being unsafe. They want to follow the "scientific consensus", but often fail to realize that the scientific consensus can be (and has often been) wrong. I just wish I could express this simple idea to people outside of our community, science isn't always correct, but it's way too hard.

I've watched a lot of Campbell's videos, and he was always pro vax. He has shifted more recently to reflect the fact that the new strains are less deadly. Now it is of little benefit for most people to be repeatedly boosted, especially if they have natural immunity. Sure Campbell makes some honest mistakes, but he does not purposefully deceive his audience. This video is an unfair attack upon Campbell, and is no more than a small man, chopping down a tall tree, so he can stand on its stump to raise his stature.

Information we all need to know: I was Army medic and studied immunology too. When you have natural protection your body produces 20-30 variant antibodies. If you have a vaccine for the same disease it suppresses your natural immunity . And can weaken it. A vaccine is very specific and often only includes part of a pathogen. Hence why vaccinated people keep getting it over and over (no or limited variant antibodies). For example- I was at hospital a few weeks ago. I said to the consultant that she didn't need to wear a mask as my anti body levels are 18.5 times higher than necessary immunity levels (in Portugal they give immunity levels and what your levels are). She said, "Well I had antibodies but still got it " I said, "Then you clearly had it asymptomatically but then got vaccinated which would have weakened your immunity. That's why you got it again" She replied- "Yes, I suppose you are right". She knew what I was taking about. No other diseases have they said you need a vaccine after getting it- only with this did they start this bullshit. I love talking to doctors because, once reminded of the science, they wake up from their hypnotised state. Even when I went to get my antibody test, a year after having it, the doctors said, "Take this to see 'IF' you have antibodies". I quickly retorted "Doc, you know as well as I do that, if I didn't, I'd still be ill!" . This woke him up from the hypnotism of media repetition, and he said- "Oh yes! Of course!". The experts that know this have been kept away from us and not interviewed by MSM. Think about it - tens of thousands of NHS doctors still hadn't been vaccinated but none were interviewed. The only reason Dr James was is because he intercepted a live interview 70,000 doctors in the USA formed an organisation against what they saw was a scam but Google took their website down . 80,000 did the same in the EU. Again the media silenced them. Why have we never heard why they did that - from them? Most nurses and doctors are too scared to speak out. Like NAZI Germany we are told not to listen to them. Like the 1940s Germans- Are we really fully informed if we only hear everything explained via the governing authority?

The biggest problem as I see it is Campbell is refusing funding from medical corporations. If this could be overcome he would be much more amenable to espousing views which did not focus on following the evidence wherever it leads, and more on sustaining dominant narratives. I have watched a lot of dr John's videos, I have seen a lot of others videos. I have all my vax's and I can see why you say what you are but... you lost me when you posted the Dr talking about peoples deaths that died from covid but also had other conditions that were Enhanced by Covid. My father died from a heart attack. His death was ruled it was covid. I fought for 3 months to get it changed as covid was not in his system. Finally got it changed and it changed my mind on conspiracies over deaths via covid. I have now had the original and omicron inflictions. You will not put another booster in me. I have several underlying health conditions that tell me to take as many boosters as possible but Im not getting stuck again. My issue is any dr that does go with the flow that if you get this you will die is outcasted. I think we need to look at all factors.

I've never known 9 people to get sick or die in such a short period time in my 43 years of life. I know a nurse who vaccinates people all day long for the past 15 odd months and told me ambulances are there multiple times daily to take people who've reacted to the vaccine. Who knows what happened next? I don't know why anyone would defend such a vaccine..I'd only assume fear of covid consumed them. My nurse friend told me not to take the mrna vaccine and said none of the Novavax patients she's administered it to have reacted once thus far. I'm still not taking the risk. Had covid 3 months ago unvaccinated so I'm fine with natural immunity. I'd rather die fighting covid then randomly because I chose to shoot up.

I asked my GP about this as well, and he still does it. Because despite the 'overall risk' being low, it's not zero. And while 'low' might be ok statistically, it's not nothing for the one person that actually ends up lucking out. This is what I think MANY people seemingly forgot. Overall risks might be low, and at a population level that's OK. That doesn't mean it's zero that and it's no comfort to those that do end up lucking out, whether that's with aspiration risk, vaccine side effect risk and so on. But..apparently that doesn't really matter.

When he made a video about ivermectin use in Japan, he promised to follow up with his contacts to find out how much it was used...and then didn't, and we all know why: it wasn't used, and would invalidate that part of his video. Finally someone calling him Nurse Campbell. After some digging, I found information that John Campbell spent almost 20+ years working as a nursing educator at the University of Cumbria. In this time he wrote 2 textbooks on nursing which were well received. Additionally he spent several years teaching health workers in India and Cambodia. At some point while working for the University, he was interested in a Ph.D. He was under the impression he could skip most of the required procedures due to his almost 30 years of experience as a nurse and educator. His proposed thesis would have been his previously written nursing textbooks. This was not accepted and there were talks about offering him an honorary Ph.D, which he declined. A few years later he suddenly received a Ph.D from the University of Bolton for his work on “developing methods of teaching via digital media such as online videos”. A thesis can be found as well, which is just a few pages long and consists mainly of citing his previously written textbooks. The University of Bolton is also known for ranking as the 2nd worst University in all of the UK. It seems in the end John Campbell did get what he wanted, a fast tracked Ph.D as a thank you for his previous work, where little to no new work was required. This is known as an honorary Ph.D, except through some mysterious circumstances, the 2nd worst University of the UK decided to award him with an actual Ph.D.

How about all those population studies done in a multitude of countries? Israel was the first to do so, and had the benefit of only using one vaccine (Pfizer): 97% effectiveness against hospitalization, and 94% against asymptomatic infection - with some potential confounders not present in the RCTs, so could go a little bit in either direction. Obviously, the word "objective" can be interpreted in many ways. I am sure some people desperately want to reject the Israeli findings and thus find a reason to call it "not objective".

It *definitely* does not explain why actual infection was observed to be so much reduced. Regarding that placebo effect in anti-depressants, that's ONE example, and one where you have to be a bit careful about interpretation of the claims of a certain group of people vs another. Irving Kirsch is a heavy-hitter in the psychology world - and as a psychologist he cannot prescribe drugs. That gives an unconscious bias against drugs. Lots and lots and lots of others put the number much lower AND there's papers that indicate the placebo effect is not nearly as large, but confounded by the infamous "regression to the mean" (see Ben Goldacre's book, Bad Science, for that). Regardless, that placebo effect does not work for infections. And yes, I am sure that I, an active scientist with an h-index of 40, "don't really have a good understanding of the field of science generally".

When a vaccine comes out and you hear more about myocarditis and Sudden adult death syndrome, you would begin to ask questions. My understanding is a KZbinr gets $1 per thousand views, so 75,000 views for a video would get the good Doctor about $75. OK "pin money" but not really a good hourly wage given the amount of work that goes into making a video. I guess he decided he'll get more views if he goes over to the dark side...

The difference between this video and John's is that Dr. Campbell is sharing information and this is simply an opinion. Without walking through all the data and science, you're not going to be as compelling and Dr. Campbell, and you'll just be appealing to identity rather than something closer to reality. Hence the number of subscribers: people are looking for truth, not opinion.

@@richvid9814 What makes Dr. Campbell rare and valuable is that every one of the videos of his that I've seen are saturated with data, facts, logic and most of all he almost never says anything negative about anyone, and he's very kind. That's not to say he's perfect, as he admits almost every episode and encourages his viewers to do their own thinking and research. That's why he has attracted so many viewers. People are tired of hating so that they can have an identity, they want something better.

I don’t know much about his background, but have seen some of his recent videos. From what I’ve gathered, he believes vaccination is good, but natural immunity may be better and that video about the vaccination effects in Germany showed 1 adverse effect in every 5,000 shots which seems to be quite good. And I’d like to know what he actually said at that conference. It makes a huge difference
