i lament that i found your video via a screenshot of very mean-spirited comment, but i am so happy i watched this. thank you so so so so so much for including my story here to support your argument about this industry-wide problem. i’ve gotten a lot of pushback and critique for my statements, but i know there is something here that is worth fighting for. in addition to fair wages and working conditions, of course! thank you again. 💙

We all admire you for it! It's hard enough trying to break a glass ceiling while actively getting credit for your work, you really stuck your neck out to make sure people knew that was YOUR work and you deserve that! I'm sorry people are so mean but your creations being so loved at least shows you you're doing good 😊

It really is a shame that these hard-working designers don't get enough credit where credit is due. There's a plaque in front of Disneyland's Pirates of the Caribbean that lists/thanks the designers of the original ride and of course there's the humorous tombstones at the Haunted Mansion for the Imagineers. I don't see why they can't come up with fun ways to make that a tradition for more attractions!

PLEASE! i hughly recommend doing an wntire timeline of the Haunted Mansion! (The history of the mansion itself, not the ride, if you're confused.) Combining all stories from the various haunted mansion rides, (including Phantom Manor) the stories from the two films based on the haunted mansion, the Muppets Haunted Mansion Tv special, and from the books, rejected storylines, museum of the weird, comics and Disney XD shorts based on the haunted mansion!

This is where I think the outstanding writing & research of Leslie Iwerks (Ub Iwerks of the original Disney animators before the WDC was founded) shines with her documentary series The Imagineering Story & same titles accompanying book released this year. It’s not perfect (and I would’ve loved more concept art as a former Walt Disney Archivist in Anaheim) but she put her heart & soul into both - and it shows. I’d also recommend RetroWDW Podcast & YT Channel (and their non-profit Lake Buena Vista Historical Society) for all the impeccable work they’ve done to locate those involved with many projects. They also do big conventions every 2-3 years where they bring Imagineers like Tony Baxter, Rolly Crump (RIP), Bob Gurr, and many more to come speak on their time with the company. The podcast has been invaluable & has corrected so many errors in attribution of quotes & credit when it was given to the wrong individuals - Ex: the famous Horizons quote that Disney loves to attribute to Walt himself but was not his. Hope that helps in your future endeavors ❤️

Make a plaque or poster in the gift shop, and with the qr code

The QR code idea is a good one, small enough to not distract but available for those interested. Great video!

This happens in most industries and professions throughout history-99% of people who work on cathedrals, automobile design, etc., aren’t credited. Not saying people don’t deserve credit but it’s not unusual. Until recently, they didn’t credit everyone who worked on a movie; credits for old movies and TV shows are very short.
