The disrespect here was actually hilarious

Jacob Trouba, as a Penguins fan is a guy I'm supposed to hate. And when they play each other I do! But boy do I respect him. He is literally a freaking tree on skates and yesterday, as we saw the clashing of two old rivals with the New York Rangers vs Philadelphia Flyers in Philly, it played out like you’d expect, just good hard hockey led by Trouba. Hathaway and Deslauriers tried to get him to drop the gloves, he hilariously didn't even acknowledge them before absolutely laying out Hathaway in the process. Some fights, plenty of big hits meant this was a fun, old time hockey game. I cover it all in todays NHL video!

Trouba isn't skating away from Delaurier because he doesn't want to give him the time of day; it's because he is scared. He only picks on guys smaller than him. I've seen a couple games against the Sens where Brady Tkachuk was willing to engage physically but Trouba shrunk like a little B. Nothing more satisfying than Matt Martin's hit on him during the bubble. That "tree" was real wobbly. But is he going to go back at MM? No chance because he knows he'll get thumped.

Great example, since Trouba did fight B. Tkachuk, at center ice no less, just last season. Again, after blowing someone up with a hit that drew no penalty. Trouba has 23 fights to his credit in the NHL, but he's scared of a guy 2 inches and 10 lbs lighter than him? You must have good weed. Maybe if Deslauriers had a regular shift he could just try to throw a hit, like Trouba does. Instead, he stuck him, grabbed him and even attempted to slewfoot him into taking a selfish penalty that would hurt his team. Rather than be goaded, he simply blew up yet another opponent - even while Delauriers yapped at him and looked stupid. That's the kind of Captain the Flyers could use!!

I think you should stop drinking now. Or, at least switch to talking about a sport you know something about. Trouba is one of the toughest guys in the league that isn't just a fighter. He drops the gloves to defend himself every time he throws an unpenalized hit, which he shouldn't even have to do. In this situation, his team is manhandling the Flyers, up 2-0 five minutes into the game. Why the hell would he fight someone and force his team to play without one of their top defensemen for 5 minutes? It's called in-game situational awareness.
