The Distillers - The Hunger REACTION & REVIEW! FIRST TIME HEARING!

I don't know what happened to my post. I absolutely love the Distillers. Love this song. It's one of their slower songs as they are a pretty aggressive punk band. Brody is an unreal vocalist. Wish they'd get back together for real. Sing Sing Death House, Hall of Mirrors, Blackest Years, Sick of it All, Coral Fang, Oh Serena all great songs. So many. I know you have to pause the songs but it's a shame because these songs race by so quick it kind of takes you out of the emotion/vibe of the song.

I always thought she sounded like a mix of her ex Tim from Rancid, Courtney Love, and Joan Jett. Love her as a person and musician. She was in a more alt rock band for a little while called Spinnerette, and in a Riot Grrl band in the 90's called Sourpuss. Both are great. My fav. from Spinnerette is Baptized by Fire.

Thank you for doing the Distillers. They are a wicked punk band. I like the song but doesn't really capture their raw energy. Personally, like their faster stuff. Again, really dug the review.

Great band. Most of their songs are upbeat, this one happens to be a bit slower. I would like suggest “Sick of it all” from the “sing sing death house album, also worth checking out

This chord switch he's talking about is metal, not punk... Sabbath made that clear and acdc did too... Well, acdc and Joan Jett were more remnants of Elvis rock.... Which isn't quite punk at this point

David! Hello! How's it going, man? :) Great job reacting as usual, it's a lot of fun for us fans. I'm not a huge Distillers fan, but I remember when Coral Fang came out back in 2003 and it blew my mind. I'll actually say too bad that it was this song, because if you had reacted to Hall of Mirrors it would be a different reaction, I'll tell you that. My goodness, that is a sucker punch of a song. I don't know if you remember me, but I'm the guy who asked (just a few days before Christmas) if you could react to Bad Religion - All Fantastic Images and you said you'd put it in the pipeline. It's been a while and a lot of song requests have come before that one, so I'm sorry but I was just wondering if you'll still do that one, or if it got lost/forgotten somewhere down the line or what's the lay of the land on that one? Bad Religion is one of my favorite bands of all time and they have tons Of terrific songs. They just hit so fast that I'm not sure how great punk bands are for listening to one song at a time.

I like the band name and I definitely hear the Joan Jett reference. Honestly, I'd be in the beer or bathroom line for this. It's just kind of unexciting to me but that's my opinion only. They have potential. Nice review.
