I'd like to mention my Father, his name was Jack - affectionately remembered as *Gentleman Jack* His early diagnosis and treatment meant he lived with prostate cancer, symptom free for more than 20yrs. His willingness to seek help saved his life, God Bless him. Do the same.

Those numbers never fail to astonish me, ONE A MINUTE! We must be able to do better than that. Just got back from Spain where i had business with a bank (didn't get it done) so sadly, missed this years DGR.....again! I am determined to join the squadron on one of your rides, DGR or otherwise. Well done all for raising an excellent amount for the cause.

Thank you for doing this, I will do it next year all being well. Unfortunately my father got diagnosed just over 2 years ago with prostate cancer, spread to his bones and this week we were told that it was in his lungs and shoulder and it's just a matter of weeks before... Believe me when I say as a carer for him, that any so called embarrassment getting tested is far outweighed by the assistance you will need as the disease progresses and the treatment you will undergo.
@CaptainRambunctious3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Paul. This must be very hard for you at the moment and upsetting too but thank you so much for commenting. I really do hope that more of us get tested sooner rather than too late and this comment will hopefully help too. You have my thoughts and thank you for watching and commenting. All the best to you and your family.

Oh, well done! Hooray and hoorah! Sadly, a bit of a health hiatus has prevented me from playing in the last couple of DGR's, but we hope to be there, to once again get wet as an Otter's pocket, as is (it seems) traditional, at a future date. Huzzah!

Looks a too day out with some great people. Must admit Im always very split about going to a DGR ride. It’s a great cause and who doesn’t love wearing a bit of tweed. But wouldn’t ride with zero armour. Pulling tweed out of gravel rash would not be pleasant. The cost of under armour so high I tend to just make a donation rather than attending.
@CaptainRambunctious3 жыл бұрын
Very true... You can always mitigate the risk by riding in full armour and changing for the slow riding part... Thanks for watching!
