@ritawashere57874 жыл бұрын
Yes Anthony, perhaps if people would quit sleeping with someone else's husband or someone else's wife hanging on to that thread that they think to be true. After all the person coming to them is lying to begin with in the relationship, so why would they be truthful now. It may sound cruel but the people that are killed by a jilted lover whether their wife or mistress or husband or mistress or mister, c'est la vie! You get one life you want to rot in a grave, because you couldn't control yourself. Such a shame people have zero impulse control.

As far as I can tell, there is no actual difference between sex, love, and greed in the context of being a motivation for violence/crime/etc. . It all comes back to one core motivation - to procreate. Which I think makes your point even more succinct - despite all of our alleged progress and refinement, we are still just trying to make more of us.
@ijaripanju34083 жыл бұрын
@@guitarsandgames6894 never thought of it like that , and at its core your absolutely right. The stuff about progress is more or less a side note as I'm sure even in the future the motives will remain the same.

@hannable703 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, behind our cars, computers, cell phones, and glittering cities, we're just primates with bigger brains - essentially hairless chimpanzees. I know religious people don't want to believe that and would much rather think that humans are somehow special - but we have FAR more in common with the animals than we have differences. Those commonalities always and inevitably come down to competition for mates, defending one's territory and property (including spouses which are seen as possessions first and partners - meh, maybe 5th or 6th on the list). Then there's the burning need to pop out puppies (for women) and spread around their DNA (men) - which is why marriages don't work at least half the time. And finally there's the need to be bigger, better, and more powerful than those around you - to be the Alpha of your peer group. This means succumbing to greed and the obsession with money, and while animals don't have an economy per se, humans use the economy to beat down potential rivals (i.e. everyone else except immediate family and close friends). We think it's somehow more "civilized" to condemn entire families to abject poverty, to take away their access to healthcare, and force them to suffer with malnutrition than it is to be barbaric and physically fight one another over a loaf of bread (well, except on Thanksgiving when people fight over the last few turkeys at the store - or Black Friday where people are literally trampled to save a hundred bucks on a flat screen - or to simply murder someone who is standing in the way of you obtaining sex, money, or prestige .... yeah, never mind, we're just as barbaric as any two wolves fighting over a deer carcass.)

I liked the boom, as you call it, and the music. Made the video creepier! Loved hearing about Laura Fair. I had never heard of her case. As I used to tell my Ancient Literature students, human nature and emotions have not changed. Love, jealousy, hate, etc. have remained the same down through the centuries, and we can identify with the tragic tale of Mrs Fair.

My father (who was not a biblical scholar) made one of the wisest observations about the Bible that I've ever heard, "If you read the bible the one thing it will teach you absolutely is that people really haven't CHANGED all that much over thousands of years of history .

Oh, BC, another great episode. I, truly missed the introduction, as I love “sitting back” and knowing where we are going for the story. I also love the “boom” sound effects. I’ve grown used to them and they are almost like a “comfort food” feeling for me. I know you will never be able to make everyone happy-so you do whatever is best for your channel, I will support you either way. ❤️

I like the intro: it's distinctive, and others imitate it because it's a good setting up of the story that is to follow. The other sounds are ok. I like to know we are going to another sector like :"The Trial". You have a good and nice format. I wouldn't touch it if I were you

She probably felt that he not only took advantage of her with his deceit, but also that she was made to look cheapened from it. She was infuriated and hated him for it. Although pre-meditated, this has overtones of second-degree murder. She should have known right from the beginning that her chances of leaving his wife for her were slim, however.
@kathyjones15764 жыл бұрын
Fascinating story, this one. Not sure how I feel about it. I can see both sides. 1. She was simply jealous and wanted to punish his wife by cheating her out of her husband; and 2. She was so distraught because of years of his lies that she did become temporarily deranged. You did point out she was a very good actress, so the whole insanity thing could have been an act. Who knows? I love the introduction and the "boom" sounds. They make your videos stand out. It kinda reminds me of one of my favorite TV series, Law and Order, and I love it please don't get rid of all that.

I thought that she might have been plotting to kill the wife, but after observing the family realized that she had been strung along and decided to kill him for leading her on. I don't have any evidence of that, but that's where my thoughts naturally went.

I do prefer the sounds. It makes the story transitions more distinctive. I'm disturbed that Mrs. Fair got off for committing murder, simply because the victim was unlikeable. This scenario is much a reflection of today's times. Too many people think the ends justify the means, because some people are unlikeable. It's not true. We all must be responsible for what we do.

I enjoyed today's feature about, Laura Fair it's a story that's old as the hills. A married man who cheats on his wife and has a mistress who he tells that he'll marry her, "one day." I personally miss your introduction to your stories, the boom sounds doesn't bother me either way. But, it's your preference because it's your channel, period! I'll still enjoy your channel, because I find it very interesting.

Oh wow a story starting out in Holly Springs Ms , lived in Memphis many years , I actually traveled back and forth to do acrylic nails ( I was a manicurist at the time) for a movie called Cookies Fortune (been years ago, maybe 20) great movie has big names but was low budget but I recommend👌 as I'm listening it interesting she ended up in Nevada wich is where I am now lol ( Reno) near Virginia City I grew up in Soda Springs near Lake Tahoe in an old hotel my parents owned built in the 1800's. Such a sad story all the way around Laura sadly should have wished up and left him for good 💔 and realized he was a no good 2 timing man. PS I LIKE THE BOOMS AND SPECIAL NOISES 🤗 bring em back , they make your stories even more interesting to me anyway👌👌👌And I like the intro...
