Regarding how The Guardian would have been able to set something up this far back, my pet theory is that the universe that The Guardian crosses over from is a continuation of the story from the point where a player chooses to do the opposite of what Lord British demands of them, so it's possible for him to have been in the world of Ultima at any point in the time line that the player was present for, but only as much as he's able to spread his influence beyond his original dimension. The Guardian probably knew that the people who would have been displaced by Lord British's conquest would have been easy marks who could be encouraged to do his bidding against the player and they probably see him as a guardian without any irony because he stood against the warlord who was intent on subjugating them and apparently won. For them it was probably a bit like The Man In The High Castle, where they got sent glimpses of a better time line that could have been.

One of my favorite in the series. Even though it was cut for time, it was almost more eerie when the banes were released and nearly everyone was killed

Yeah the game is really dark! (I haven't gotten to the banes releasing yet but I've heard it's brutal). On a side note, how's Ultima 2 going? Still super excited for it! Hope all is well!

Nice vid man, that keyring was a godsend 😅 I think I would agree that Forge of virtue was better... 🤔 serpent isle as a whole had some good improvement of life benefits. Journey onward... 👍

Thank you! And yeah! Key ring is great! Also liked the helmet of light and ring of Shal. Though with the ring, since you no longer needed reagents, it did make spell casting a bit more generic.
