The events of Tom Clancy's The Division 2 take place in the summer of Washington D.C., 7 months after the events of the Dollar Flu, which took place in the winter in New York City. The virus has now spread to Washington D.C. During the initial phase of the crisis, important personnel such as POTUS, Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff and other important politicians were being evacuated. The chaos of the virus began with attacks on the Pentagon, The National Mall and other landmarks. Riots followed the day after and the security forces were hit, forcing them to evacuate the capital. The dense heatwave added to more problems. The supply lines were cutoff; after a few days survivors developed communities and many of them were armed, while the criminals have developed their own factions and raid these communities for supply and control. Factions like the True Sons, a group of paramilitary warlords bent on dominating their enemies and expanding their territory around Washington D.C. These militants are led by a former JTF officer Antwon Ridgeway who, along with those that follow him, are a force to be reckoned with. Because of this, Directive 51 has been activated in Washington D.C. and thus activates a unit of Division agents who launch a joint operation with the Civilian Militia in Washington D.C. in order to recapture the capital.

The last one had the four factions: The Rioters, The Rikers, The Cleaners and The Last Man Battalion. The current has three factions plus an endgame faction: The Hyenas, The Outcasts, The TrueSons and the endgame faction is called The Black Tusk. EDIT: BTW why do have an Afro in the apocalypse, all the perming machines are bust and the hairdressers either dead or hostage.

As far as the plot goes: - the Division in Washington acts kind of dumb - setting up the White House as their primary headquarters is outright stupid, it is not exactly the most optimal defensible position out of all the government buildings. They are not even using the underground bunkers it is supposed to have as primary locations for critical base infrastructure. Why not hole up ... I don't know ... in Pentagon, for example ? - Why every Division agent in the story except for the player character is, for the most par,t a useless push-over, who can't get anything done ? This does not make sense in the context of the broader story, where they constantly underline, how bad-ass everyone of them is supposed to be - Also what is up the constant need for e-v-e-r-y single player action validation ? It seems like the story writers think that everyone playing their game has deep self-esteem and insecurity problems, and thus need continuous flattering to feel good about themselves. (as far as the movie goes - as usual, you have my like ) )

actually i think in one of the early trailers it shows a division agent being killed and handing his watch to a civilian militia member, so maybe the majority of the agents in DC are just militia that were promoted...would explain alot since the other agents are useless and the friendly AI are useless too...stealing my goddamn miniguns so i can't melt boss armour

Agreed, For the most part Agents beside Players are doing Nothing. Well its a game and what i could think of is Ubisoft wants the Player to do all of the Experience without Counting on AI (Except Control Point) But i still want those Agents to atleast show how badass they are For the White house... i can only speak for myself but im only watching this because i have no idea whats happening in game and I wanted to get up to speed. the story would be about 100x better if the main character talked just sayin. but if you really want a silent protagonist do what bethesda games do no joke, outer worlds was decent its gameplay was just bland. division 2 as a legit RPG sounds pretty amazing. Great opportunity to do great kindness or evil like in fallout 3. follow the right path out of the darkness or take a dark twist on it like F3 with the purity contamination option through the enclave. Go Rogue or don't even. seriously it could've been like fallout/witcher/kotor/mass effect goobi please it could be a lot more dank

I remember some of these but not all of it I wish they would have made the story more longer and not so complicated to see I'm sure half of it has to do with the game glitching out on me after I did the federal bunker all my missions went away I know for a fact I did not do Lincoln Memorial cuz it was level 28 I hadn't made that far yet but after I finally got around the reactivate shd glitch all my missions went away so I didn't get to see half of the story ... Normally I know in the division one you went to a mission Beat It then went back to the base of operations for a story I never got a marker to go back to a settlement or base of operations for story .. I know they did some patches I'm thinking about making a new character and play it over again

You have an hour and 29 minutes worth of cutscenes and I can barely find any story where the hell are all these cutscenes coming from lol the division 2 has been very confusing for me normally after or before doing a main mission there is a story to back it not in the division 2 apparently you have to really search for a cutscene in the division 1 it was obvious you went back to the base of operations and talk to someone and that was the story it's not like that in part 2

Good god there's so many bugs, I just had a horrendous audio bug that causes static if I don't turn off my surround sound, sure I can live without it, but it's just not as fun. There's still that Ladder glitch that makes me see through the world and shit. Bleh, so many bugs, but the combat is alright I guess.
