I hearing that this is BOTH: A) working for everything in the game including hardcore characters and people have been doing this for ages. & B) A visual glitch I’m hearing both. If you are on one camp or the other, let me know below and add your platform. That way we can figure it out. 🤘🏼🎃🤘🏼

There is no double XP. It is a visual glitch. The 1.6 million xp you earn for the General Anderson mission is available for expansion characters at 40 and non-expansion characters at 40. There is no double XP for the DC 40 characters

It is not a visual glitch, if it shows on screen as a double amount then you do in fact get that awarded to you. It's just that he is wrong that you get double XP for every activity.

Not only have I noticed this but on my main I don’t get Multikill bonuses headshot bonuses, weak point kills, etc as much either. But I noticed when I played it on the mule that it gave those extra bonuses WAYYYY moreeee. I can clear a control point and have a x30 multikill bonus, but in the main it only counts ONE multikill and that’s it. Literally during the 5x event I would use a Determined build and would get x30 multikill but would get DOUBLE headshots and would get 250k-400k but on the main character it counted each headshot once, and only give me One single multikill bonus. Literally almost hit 1k levels in 3 days because of that, and I worked the other 4 days. Test it it out. Go to normal if you need to get the kills faster. Forreal man. The main won’t count as much multikill but the mules will count it for the whole instance, only ended if the fighting stopped, like in between control point attacks and defends, and in between rooms in Summit, missions, etc. Edit just to add, basically during 5x events with Allll directives on heroic, I would get the 4m XP for the control points itself but literally get another Million just from the combat bonuses. Without the 5x it’s like 40-100k per combat session…or normally it’s that much…I guess to put it easier.

Not just xp. At times, you can get double weapon drops as well. I really noticed it during golden bullet / 5x-XP event. I'm a touch over 1600 shd lvl w/ 13 (160+) expertise lvl. A lot of that is from donating those double weapons to gain a quick proficiency level with whatever i've just acquired. Not wanting to sacrifice the lower credits/materials I have to do so with has been useful to say the least. But, it's very much still an honest grind! I just didn't connect the dots until this here video, and because i'm relatively (compared to you and others) newish to the game...I just figured it was the normal game system. NOTE: I completed WONY right before legacy manhunts started, and have STILL seen that 2x-XP from random collectibles I acquire during the legacy missions. I may be wrong, so run a manhunt with your lvl 40 non-WONY and verify if you care to do so. But cheers for spreading the knowledge. Yourself and other CC's help in so many ways and it's appreciated. @@Kamikazevondoomactually I didn’t notice this, my brother OWNS WONY HOWEVER he doesn’t have wony completed and the loot pool is INSANELY DIFF. (Granted you don’t get NY Loot pool) like rn for examp. I hate my mains loot pool my bro has overlord in downtown east, he has SMGs in judiciary Square, and sokolov in DZ East, and even west Potomac park with shotguns, I hope they don’t fix it bc usually besides Friday thru Sunday the target loot pool sucks..

I tested this with a new character and though I saw the XP twice as you did, it only adds one... if you check your xp value before you collect and then subtract that from the after value, you will see that the difference is only one ( not double)... you can see this in your video actually... if you go to the 6:10 mark, you will see that your XP starts at 609224 and then at the 6:13 mark it ends at 627528... the difference is 18304... came here and saw that @markstraatman8780 explained this very clearly as well. That said that Power Plant mission is also showing double the XP for me as well... and I feel that some kills are higher too, but I'm not certain. 2. This new character that I tested with, I leveled it up to level 39 in WONY, but the last level to 40 was in DC... this was on the 13th of this month. So I feel it's MANHUNT/EVENT bug.

@@phulanitoperencejo1963 I just tested on a public execution on normal and i only received the regular 85000xp NOT double. It is the same XP as my main character that has gone through WONY. This looks like a visual glitch not actual double XP.

this actually happens since god-rolled crafting "bug" thing... my farming char never went to NY since that time. And sometimes you get your char glowing after doing headshots etc, like when you get DZ proficiency.

This is so misleading. You DO NOT get double XP for everything you do. You only get double XP for things like echos, comms, NPC kills, headshot kills, multi kills, survival xp award, donating consumables to a control point officer etc. You do not get double XP for completing missions or bounties or manhunts or even taking over a control point.

If you complete Liberty Island xp double goes away. And you are back at normal xp gain. Some of the numbers are doubled up on screen but your xp bar does not go up double.

WTF?!?! I've been grinding some low level mules for WEEKS and playing them as I can (which is only about an hour a night) and ALL of them have NEVER done the WoNY expansion. You mean I could be bouncing around to all the safe houses and grabbing free XP?!?! Man, some days I HATE this game!!! Thanks for your insights, as always KVD! It just looks like you've earned twice the XP, but in reality you only earn it once. When collecting a collectible, it shows the amount of XP twice as if youve earned double and since the XP bar of a lvl 40 WONY agent will only say/show "Max level" along with your SHD level, its not immediately apparent that you have in fact only earned the XP once. If you open up the menu (before going into your inventory) you can see the current XP bar (xxxxxx/700000) and if you compare the amount before and after picking up a collectible, it only goes up the exact amount of the initial XP (100%, not 200%).

I also noticed the targeted loot is different in both all DZs and the soft zone. My original character has one targeted loot but log onto my new level 40 and it's completely different.

Well i happen to notice, when you made those comparisons the old character with wony is on normal and the new one without wony is on heroic global difficulty. What you just showed us is not an apples to apples comparison. From Turkey by the way. Love your vids :)

Difficulty doesn’t change the collectible xp. Its the exact same. Give it a try :)

while I admit I do see the "double xp" appear above my character, it's tough to see the actual calculation when my xp bar just says "Max Level" the whole time. Sure the xp bar moves but doesn't show the number that is added. This leads me to believe it is more of a visual glitch Greetings from Boston, MA by the way. I am on PC

Now, my question is…will this even matter in Seasons 2.0? There won’t be a “battle pass” style progression system anymore, so this would only be relevant for watch levels. Or maybe if you planned to keep a mule it could help get those WONY specialization points. But aside from that it’s pretty useless for the way the game is about to change in Y6S2.

For some reason, my game has been borked, I never could participate in the Mooncake event and the latest Throwback event. I have yet to find a reason as to why these projects weren't available to my characters. I even deleted the game off of Steam and repurchased it on GoG to see the same issue on that version of the game and it also didn't have the Throwback event offered as one of the projects available to my character.

At which point can you upgrade the crafting bench? Made a new mule, did dc, got to base and boosted to 30. And then I wanted to build a dedicated lvl 30 leveling gear set for future mules. But when I took a lvl 40 exotic out of the stash to the crafting station to reconfigure it to lvl 30, it told me the bench ain't at a high enough level. And there isn't even the option to upgrade it at the bottom. So when does that option even unlock. Played the other mules just with whatever gear I picked up, so I never dealt the bench since my original character, so I got no clue.

I noticed something tonight, I made a new character today, low on materials of course, Decided to stay in DC to get to 40, Look at my projects, Ok play the bank mission on Challenging to get the rewards. When you get to the Mission it only allows you to play on, Story, normal or Hard. That was the daily LOL The VIP mission was also challenging, At lvl 31 Challenging is not offered to play. 😁 I got no rewards :D

@@Kamikazevondoom It's not a glitch, you don't have to do anything special to force the bounties to spawn south of The Campus every time, you just have to ensure you have a map setup which will force them to spawn in that location.

You can boost to 30. From 30-40 takes around 2 hours in DC with some friends. Just do invaded with directives

Double accolades on characters that have not completed the Liberty Island mission was known over three months (ago). I know this because I was the one who made the post on Reddit tilted "New Passive XP Farm for New Characters".

​​​​@@frontstreet2011Manhunts for the first time have always given more XP, at least for a while. Accolades are mostly skill-based, which you get after an encounter. What this does is count every kill as a multikill at base, which is a decent amount of XP. To get the most benefit, you need to hit headshots. Expect ~30-100k per encounter or ~1-2 extra directives worth on average, which is about 600-800k per mission, 100k per public execution, and about 200-300k per control point. However, what you get varies based on your build and play style. I run general headshot builds and have a 6.1:1 headshot to kill ratio, so I don't have to modify my builds or play style.

havent played in a while, but I thought you had to unlock safe rooms by opening the doors, so not sure how youre fast traveling to new saferooms, and i thought you had to kill Keener to get your watch, so how are you getting SHD levels without a watch?

The watch now unlocks (or it gives you the option) when you hit lvl 40 even if you haven't done Wony. They changed it a bit ago.

Start a new character and dont choose the boost to 30 option. Instead get to the White House first and them boost to 30 from there.

Only if you want full access to all projects. When he opened it up with his non wony char, he didn't have the daily, weekly, legendary and the season pass daily. You can now play to level 40 and still get the watch that previously you'd only get by doing wony and then link them to share shd levels. So if you're not planning to do the projects on all characters and only need a mule to get him to 40, link the watched to make use of shd levels, you don't need to do wony.

there was a time when I see somebody with a high SHD level that I know they're experienced playing in Legendary and you can tell then they started farming, why somebody with a 3k SHD (while I have a 1k SHD with Legendary experience) seems to be playing clumsy getting killed! now that I"m 4600 SHD level, I'm seeing 10k SHD level that's making a lot of rookie mistakes!

Ubisoft is trying to make all players equal. A sad way to boost player counts. They are gIving everyone exotics, allowing players below 1000 to level up faster, and making even the most common weapons stronger while nerfing the less common weapons (the ones that are in the hands of the higher level players).
