The Division | Advanced Gameplay Tips & Tricks

It has been a while since I did a 'Tips & Tricks' video like this so there is a lot that we have to catch up to in the future, however, I wanted to start off today with some general gameplay mechanics that I am pretty sure a lot of people do not know about yet. Hope it helps.

XD) especially The Dead Zone. taking that 3 of the checkpoints are directly next to Central Park.

The corner shooting tip was super helpful (and still can be) back in the 4HM H DN farming... With all 4 of you stacked on the crate it as really easy to get blocked by an inconsiderate player, this zoom in trick helped get past that player. Clearing up the snap-shotting issue of skill haste and skill power will definitely be helpful to someone out there as well. Nice work Marco.

hey marco, i just want to say thank you for these tips and tricks, the one where you can scope in and shoot when behind cover is a real lifesaver. I had tried it in many of my runs everywhere and I have never been shot by enemies until they flank me. In fact, I tried sniping in Clear Sky (my first run) and indeed the enemies either do not realize i am shooting at them, or couldn't land a single shot on me.

Thanks Marco, good tips. I'd definitely noticed the 1HP lock thing, wasn't sure if it was a bug or intended... I think the way they've implemented the changes to medkits in 1.7 makes a lot of sense as the point is to cleanse a specific status effect and then stop it triggering again for a few secs (mainly for fire, let's be honest). Not sure I like that the flame turret disables after an enemy uses a medkit though... You should definitely be able to take exotic damage even if you get the on fire immunity. That's going to kill the only think offensive Tac players have left!

It’s called health gating and is a pretty fundamental mechanic used in most video games. In borderlands in particular health gating is the crux of many popular builds for playing on high level “OP’s”.

It's not dead yet us hardcore day one players are still here dispite the lag , latency, metas, bugs , glitches, check point campers etc etc .....we still in here ..!!!! cos we ❤ division. And In fairness , massive are still pushing to get the game back to the 1.5 sweet spot .

quick thing about the invulnerability, if you are revived by a recovery link u can be put back down instantly if they have enough dps, u get the invulnerability after u pull out your gun and can move

MR.Marco i got a question.. do you know how much firearms scale.. if you have 7000 firearms and go up to 8000 or 9000 how much do you gain in weapon damage etc and is it even worth it to have more then 7000 like in 1.5 where it wasent worth to get over 7k cos the scale was to low..

Question for you Marco... Barrett's gives a skill power buff with no skills on cool down We know this. Seeker mines don't go on cool down until the last one pops. We know this. So if I throw a seeker mine and then immediately throw a turret,do they both get the Barrett's buff since no skill was on cool down when either were thrown?

Great tips even for a guy that is playing since day one. If i may add, you can actually fire your weapon when you're shocked by a shock turret or a grenade a couple of seconds just before you go out of the status effect.

Big pro tip if you have a immunizer and one of your people go down throw the box on them and run and throw a shock or Grande on them the player's will catch fire or be shocked giving you time to pick up your team mate up and back in the fight

Tip: when I run firecrest in pve I stack damages to elete where ever I can...I run a sawed off shot in the third weapon slot usually hand gun but it has 3 talents and I added ferocious and I swap to this weapon before I throw out the fire turret +30ish % damage to eletes

great video...like allways...are you absolutely shure that EAD/DTE didn't work with turret? I have a Tactican with 25% DTE and 25% EAD...and another with 50% DTE and 60% EAD...i have no valid Numbers but I see the difference when the turret is working...when the turret works with the 60% EAD-Tactican Turret act like a Saw and rip of enemy's Armor much faster than with 25% EAD...or is it my personal feeling ?

Some talents do work with turret. I have been using elevated, destructive, ferocious with success (1.6.1). Also, sustained - but not predatory.

MarcoStyle 1.7 is a patch to bridge over until 1.8 drops with new content...1.8/new content is the last chance for this game...if massive fuckt that up the last players will leave...but I have big concerns that we are over this point and it's to late...so sad...

Ive been playing since launch and i keep hearing how dead the divison is yet i have no trouble meeting new players to team up with for every activity, it seems to me more than enough still play, it may not be as popular as your big franchises but since when did popular mean good? cod and minecraft are popular but imo i wouldnt play either of them. I think the problem with the division is its not for everyone and alot bought it thinking it was some cool looking open world shooter like ghost recon (terrible game) but the reality is its an mmo style rpg...

Damage to elites works with the flame turret. I tested this last week. Mine does 16 hp/sec dmg but against yellow enemies it's 22 hp/s. And I have 35% dte so the math adds up. I'm on console

DTE works with the other turret skill mods in PvE as well--strangely, it's only EAD that doesn't apply. I find it likely that the omitted EAD is the bug in this case, as sometimes turrets attempt to generate "blue" hits against armored targets but produce exactly the same damage as plain "white" hits. On the other hand, DTE visibly increases damage against elite targets. You can observe this by switching from a gun without Ferocious to a gun with one, or by drinking water while the turret streams bullets into a target. Nice work on the testing. Keep it up \o/
