Rikers without a doubt. The typical riker is a hardened criminal that knows how to use a weapon and doesn’t hesitate to kill. Hyenas are mostly just normal civilians who banded together.

Dude Rikers were the only NPC enemies I actually ENJOYED fighting. Three or four of the with their AKs can spell death if you're not careful.

I find it pretty ironic how the WoNY Rikers (a group of prisoners and criminals) is led by James Dragov (a former policeman who's also a rogue Division agent)

He found the law enforcement to be the same as the guys they were supposed to stop: "Police officers? Thugs who take petty bribes. And the Division? Delusional killers of the highest order." Because of this, he joined and reunited the Rikers.

Hyenas always struck me as more analogous to the Rioters, but the latter never really did much outside of being an early-game nuisance.

@@il1680 Clearly you just like to spout nonsense, and the giver of that sole Like follows right along. Even a Sorayer (Elite Rioter) or two alongside a group of others in the DZ are like buzzing mosquitoes compared to a Riker Boss with a squad he can buff, or an LMB Officer with a similar ability and subordinates with him. Even the NAMED Sprayer/Lurker on the way to the Korea Town area is barely anything next to the named Rikers, Cleaners, and LMB in the higher DZs. I think her name is Bonnie. If the faction were really a thing, they'd have had an Incursion or some other endgame content besides repeatable story missions on higher difficulty. Honestly the Rioters in the DZ are a joke. When they're mixed in with the other factions on the West Side Piers or Underground with Directives turned on, an argument can be made for them being dangerous. But otherwise? They're laughed off as long as you don't let them flank you and/or spam you with grenades. Just for further comparison in the UG, I've seen LMB and even Rikers manage to at least slow down/seriously hurt a Hunter. If one or more spawns and there are Rioters around for them to aggro on, all the hoodies are dead in seconds. What I HAVE seen Rioters do in the DZ when they didn't know I was nearby, is randomly hug each other. Which was pretty funny.

The Rikers also have Ex-Military conscripted in their ranks, these Units would likely be placed in areas of strategic importance by Dragov or act as reinforcements.

Rikers would win in my opinion, I had a tougher time fighting them than the Hyenas, I just find the Hyenas more annoying. Also, I'm looking forward to Black Tusk vs LMB.

The rikers would win by miles simply because they're more organized and more experienced. Like u said rikers also contain ex military members but also among their ranks would be mob bosses who made efficient organisations and understand the need of an organized network. The hyenas aren't organized in any manner and would often be infighting with each other over who should rule the hyenas as they don't operate in a network but as a loose coalition of different hyena groups

Rikers are brutal streetwise murderers with a hard on for causing someone pain. Hyenas are scavenging opportunists with enough numbers they can swarm like locusts. True in a small scale clash or one on one fight Rikers dominate, but in large numbers. You have to think. Some of these hyenas are the craftiest bastards on the planet. Deciet tactics work well against brutes who prefer to steamroll through anything. Conclusion. Rikers still win, but not without casualties.

Numbers won't matter that much in a fight especially like this because sometimes verity is mostly gonna win and the rikers know what they are doing with weapon's and the squad leaders get their adrenaline going and on top of that the big rikers who have lmg's have extremely tough armor so them going down is most likely not gonna happen, plus the rikers know what to do in close range, I sometimes see the riflemen charging from time to time. So yeah that's what I learned from playing the division for the past several years and NGN very good break down on the rikers and Hyena's. btw I really want to see the hunters go up against something honestly.

Whenever you get the chance, Divsion Hunters vs Ghost Recon Wolves. Both look to be equally trained based on the fact that Wolves are former ghosts and Hunters feel like what if you combined a spec-ops operator and a division agent. Hunters have more gadgets while Wolves have access to a very powerful drone arsenal.

I’d say there’s prob a decent amount of ex military gang members in the hyenas it’s really not uncommon for some to come home and join gangs, some gangs have even sent people to join the military to get training so they can come back and train their members better

Harden criminals vs gangland? Id go for rikers. They are evolved version of a gang member that have experience being cutthroat while hyenas are newbloods to the streets. The only factions that are left are rogue agents and hunters.

OK my opinion. The Rikers are stronger in fight prowess and organisation. They have street smarts and are practically fearless. The hyenas are wild dogs with a nasty bite and hundreds of people ready to replenish small numbers at their leisure. They are animalistic and downright brutal. The only thing apart from fight experience and effective leadership that let's down the group, is the fact that they all desire independence too much to solidify together. Had the Hyenas truly been one, put more time in gun practice instead of getting blazed, and weren't too afraid to stick around in a life or death fight, these Hyenas would be unstoppable.

Off topic but if they make a 3rd division it needs to go back to the more depressing feeling of 1 the setting and everything helped the immersion i feel like division 2 feels better in most ways gameplay wise but its missing character customization features like in ghost recon and a more immersive realistic setting. Dc just felt like a weird summer vacation compared to newyork in division 1. Itd be even better if we had changing seasons and dynamic weather. Just think if the devs were able to update the game world to current realworld seasons. Itd allow them time to create the look and still keep the game fresh feeling
