John Wick Versus Sam Fisher
As requested by a few of you, I’m going to put together a scenario in which John Wick and Sam Fisher are put up against each other, in order to theorise who I believe would come out on top.
This is a little different to some of the previous versus videos, because not only are they from different universes, but they also come from different media types, which further adds a different layer of complexity when comparing their skill sets.
That aside, if we took the legendary hitman from the John Wick movie franchise, and put him up against the protagonist from the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell series of video games, novels and comic books…who would win?

The matchup was almost unfair due to the major difference in combat styles and technology available to them. One lives in the shadows and the other uses it when the job requires it. In regards to Wick's abilities it has to be made a fair point; John was retired in the movies and can be argued he didnt keep up with his physical skills thus we have no way of knowing how he fought in his prime. As John was mostly motivated by revenge the entire series through, thus self preservation was not really on his mind. That being said it was a fun video for sure!

we shouldn't forget about conviction . Remember Sam didn't had any fancy gear nor his special suits in conviction and he too was retired for 3 years from 3rd Echelon . But still managed to take out splinter cells with full body armor and advancer artilleries along with mercinaries from black arrow who were also well equipped . So if we put conviction Sam fisher in front of John it would still be a formidable fight . Also John really wanted to live , infront of the Elder he confessed that he wanted to spent the rest of his days in remembrance of Helen and their time together , he was even willing to kill Winston for that until Winston convinced him other wise. John was willing to be a weapon for the Elder and the high table for the rest of his life just for remembering his wife .

I love John wick with a burning passion. I adore the way he executes his skill sets, how much he’s able to improvise specially with his environment. His calm temperament that can turn into a ticking bomb within seconds is something to admire. But you can’t make this up. Sam Fisher isn’t human. He would wipe the floor with Wick. It’s the same thing as the Division vs. The Ghosts. I have played both divisions and Ghost recons and I adore both units. But facing the facts, The Ghosts will win

It helps that Sam Fisher was more of a soldier than John Wick. That may sound like nothin but Sam was a SEAL (realistically that doesn't mean much, especially when compared to the Army's special ops) and being trained to kill someone who will certainly shoot back leaves a lot more ground, and adding to that being a better assassin. That said I can't leave Wick out completely but yeah.

Canonically, Fisher wins, 10 or if 10 times. Period. He's basically Rasputin at this point, practically unkillable. Multiple wars and conflict zones throughout the world over nearly 50 years at this point in his story (R6 Siege being the furthest point), with at least 20 years of it being as a Splinter Cell. As badass as John Wick is, at this point in his story (JW3) has doesn't have nearly as much experience as Fisher. Wick is late 40s, early 50s at the most. Fisher was already dropping bodies by the time Wick was born. As the old adage goes- "Beware an old man in a profession where men die young"... Fisher is the best, because he's already killed the rest. That's a level of efficiency you simply don't want aimed in your direction. Let's not forget that in Conviction he single handedly brings down a shadow cabal, fights off an entire PMC, stops a government coup, and does it all with (canonically) still walking off the effects of heavy sedatives (the story takes place in about 72 hours... 24 before his capture, 12 under, 36 after capture). Wick has nothing to compare that too, besides a GSW to his abdomen (which is nothing to laugh at, for sure, but realistically? If it was serious, he simply wouldn't have been capable of any of that after about 5 minutes... that's how long it would take for the wound to go septic if it punctured an organ in the digestive tract). And as mentioned, Fisher stayed on his feet fighting even while dying from a nerve agent for a considerable amount of time. Fisher also successfully infiltrated and exfiltrated Guantanamo. Not a easy feat for a team, let alone a single man. It's already over, before Wick even sees him coming...

A few years before this video I had already discussed on Facebook and reddit that in my opinion Fisher dominates John Wick in several points but I was heavily criticized and insulted by wick fans. Unfortunately, people think more through their emotions than through logic. If you are a fan of Wick and he is the most popular character of the moment, then nobody is better than your hero. We've seen this before with Jason Bourne, Ong Bak, Neo, Rambo etc The more time goes by, the more people start to change their mind. This video and discussion got me to subscribe. I agree, Sam is ridiculously stealthy, and likely wouldn't even engage John face-to-face. I do think in a fair one-one though, just the two men and their tools, in a room; I feel like John's extensive cqc MIGHT out do Fisher's. But the whole real reason Sam wins is that Sam isn't a agile tank like Wick; he's a ghost. He strikes from the dark, he strikes hard and fast, and you never knew he even hit you. Though that all said, Wick has run with the Payday crew, so maybe he learned from them some advantages!

I found it odd that John wick is widely know for being hunted almost everywhere because of a 7 million bounty on his head while the division has a similar thing called the manhunt system of players trying to hunt that one player who has a manhunt bounty on their head for that juicy manhunt reward after killing them. It would depend a lot of when the Sam Fisher involved is from. Let me explain: In the *_original_* Splinter Cell, the gear and equipment available to Sam was specialized and good... but it wasn't on the level of crazy that Third Echelon had in the later installments. And, I mean now Sam has access to cameras that you can fire through walls, echo-location technology, hacking equipment, etc. Another thing to consider: The Sam Fisher of recent times... is *_really_* getting up there in age. Now if you take the Sam Fisher from the original Splinter Cell, you don't have the over-the-top gear and equipment, but you have a Sam Fisher that is much younger as well. To show you what we're talking about, Sam Fisher was born on August, 8, 1957 (as per official canonical in-game sources). This means in 2025 when you see him in Ghost Recon: Breakpoint... he's 68 years old. Just... no. Especially when you consider his high-impact lifestyle and length service record would be hell on the body. If you're talking about a Sam Fisher from the early 2000s, he might not have all the fancy gadgets, but he's also about as old as Wick is. And... That's a very dangerous opponent. If you were to take away all gadgets and gear and just plop them into an arena and give them knives... That's about the only way I see John Wick winning. Otherwise, even an aged Sam Fisher would just take him out at his leisure. I will say this, however: the gap in abilities between the two when it comes to fighting and combat is much closer than I think some would be willing to admit. It's Sam Fisher's stealth and espionage that make him even more dangerous. As well as his gear/equipment if he has it.

I am a Fan of both Characters if we are talking face to face fight then we would have an actual fight BUT if we talking about both getting send into a City or Compound like Third Echelon HQ to kill each other then Fisher just turns Wick into a corpse before he can even get a look at who is hunting him. Wick would be better suited to take on a Six Operator while Fisher's more suited Opponent would be Arthur Bishop from the Mechanic Movies but then again comparing different Franchise Characters is mostly opinion based anyways. xD
