I like bolt-action sniper rifles more because of their reliability in steady combat scenarios, high damage input and good ammo economy. The problem with these marksman rifles are is that they consume ammo quite quickly. Of course, you can actually compensate it with talents and ability modules, but the cost is far greater than the benefit is.

+Jenkkimie I agree whole heatedly but the one thing that makes marksman rifles appealing for my case at least is their ability to get multiple head shots in quick succession and the fact that you can be more mobile and in worst case scenarios have the ability to hip fire much better with them.

Dirtygoggles Sure. Given proper situation, they can absolute rip trough enemies and are excellent under pressure situations where you need to take someone down immediately. Like the author of the video also said is that it isn't as punishing with marksman rifles if you miss as it would be with a bolt-action rifle.

It might be worth a small demo towards the end of the review briefly showing in the shooting range how your mod recomendations effect the weapon (dps, difference to sway etc). Sort of like a before and after thing. Could call it 'Arekkification' of the gun

Just a quick FYI, weapon sway is not the same thing as recoil. Sway is the natural movement of the crosshairs that is a result of (simulated) breathing. Recoil is what you would need to fix it's stability issues.

With it being a DMR type rifle it is made more for medium to long range combat and good mag size for a marksman rifle but the damage is not as large as a Bolt action type.

Great video, I'd love to see you do one for each of the named weapons (when you can!). Also to reiterate what other's have said, the fourth talent is random but has no 'cost' from abilities. You scored big time getting Proficient though!

You should get your self a set of starter gear to get some true baseline stats as well to compare what it can do while fully kitted in lvl 30/31 end-game/high-end gear

I have a high end classic m1a, a high end socom m1a and the tenebrae, m1a outweighs the tenebrae in almost every talent except for magazine capacity.

you want to get the high end magazine, when crafted sometimes it gives you a 13% damage increase.

just a couple of caveats... you actually roll the 4th on tenebrae, i got a talent that removes all recoil after using a skill... also the headshot damage is a range (which you roll) look at the blueprint its all there.

i just noticed that the damage output of crafted weapons are increased. e.g. when i crafted my tenebrae last week it had a damage range of 16k to 19k. now if i craft one i can get a damage output in the range of 19.2k to 22.2k. my stats are the same as last week the same goes to the other weapon blueprints i have. it sucks that i have to craft another Navy Mp5 N to have a higher damage because i love the talents on it. it has Destructive, Swift, and Self Preserved

custom M44...Mine has a base damage of 39.1K. do over 90k for headshots, over 180K for critical hits.

Somehow you forgot to mention that that gun is unique in that it gets 4 traits while others only get 3. also the passive one is random.

Hey if you get a chance to find a sniper called first wave then in my opinion it is the best sniper. Damage per bullet is 37k without any mods and its stats are fantastic, all on the high end but only holds 19 rounds with a 100% magazine size mod. the reticle never widens and it is easy to control. with all mods i have it now does 40.7k damage and has a higher reload and more ammo in the clip. the damage bonus for head shots is 151% just saying i have yet to find a better sniper.

in my opinion: you can better buy the police mk marksman rifle blueprint and here is why: 1. you don't have to be rank 50 in darkzone (it is bought in the tech winf for phoenix credits) 2. because it isn't a named weapon you can re-craft it for better perks

You kinda shoulda mentioned that the M1A is probably the best marksman rifle (bit subjective of course). It has a firing rate comparable to the SCAR-H and damage comparable to a bolt action such as the SRS-A1. It's pretty over the top.

+cjrun24 yet I got it. And pretty pleased with it's performance. Only thing that bothers me is my ammo quantity. Not enough ammo since it has 53 in a mag and shoots 1036 rpm :)

The Tenebrae only has 3 set talents and 1 random talent that you get with crafting, the random one is the one that is already unlocked

I'm curious why a rifle like this would be an advantage over a superior rifle with similar RPM and clip size, but does 30k dmg? I've noticed that many of the high end weapons have lower DPS ratings than their superior counterparts and I'm puzzled why that is as it would seem advantageous to keep whatever the weapon with the higher DPS, regardless of it being purple or yellow.
