Eleven & Clara's chemistry was pretty magnetic, but I think Capaldi & Coleman brought such a unique dynamic that was mutlptipled by their chemistry that it can seem like Eleven x Clara is off compared to Twelve x Clara. I loved Matt Smith and Jenna together, but at the same time I wholly adored the special, unique and deep chemistry between Capaldi and Jenna's characters.

What’s even better about the doctor trading the watch for a coat, is that behind the scenes, the (to my knowledge) first time Matt and Capaldi met, Matt handed the watch to Peter between filming of Time of the doctor (specifically after Matt smith had finished all his scenes and Capaldi was about to film his half of the regeneration)
