There’s clearly a story behind this video and it should be shared. It’s not just them singing a song. This is Karinya Chen. A 15 year old girl who had battled terminal bone cancer for 5 years. She was at “Hospice Austin” and had tickets to go see a Florence and the Machine concert. She couldn’t due to health concerns. But the hospice reached out to Florence and was able to explain the situation and Florence came to sing just to her. With that being said this day was clearly something very special and since unfortunately Kenya has passed away. These acts of kindness are what makes this world so nice to be in and makes us realize how precious not only life is but how important something as simple as music can be to us in times of need.

Then along comes this incredible woman laying in bed who would give anything to have my health and be able to get up and go to ANY job, however bad it might be. I can't imagine what this poor girl has been through. Yet just having someone she likes come in and sing a song for her is enough to forget the world, lay back, and enjoy the music and the moment. I used to go play for the folks in hospice.. it was a beautiful and heavy experience.. some don’t have family to visit, some had dementia, some cancer.. but you could always see the suffering eased just a little whenever I played them the songs they loved.
