Have you ever wondered why there is very little wild life in these areas of Nigeria? e.g. Lions, elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra etc If you go back in history, all of these animals were once there but now they are gone ...... forever. It's because they eat every thing and now there is literally nothing left because they have constantly taken from nature without putting back. These people even eat cats, rats and snakes. SMDH. This is shocking news to me, I thought the practise of dog trade for meat was only done in China. The dogs are alive, and very conscious of what they are going through. Those that have been eating dog will not stop to please you. Animals don't have rights, in Nigeria. Some of the dogs need to sell, as they're not been fed by the owners. Just as you view dogs as companions, in certain countries like India, cows are seen as sacred animals. Indians may be shocked when they see us eating beef. Hunting the dog has been an ancient practice that our parents and grandparents have lived for, they travel as far as over 300km to Kano, Jigawa and Katsina state, some to even Niger and Chad all for hunting of the dogs.

These were survival foods back a long time ago, no need to still eat like this. Im glad Africans are getting on board to vegetarianism. The ways that we use to eat. I met a guy from Cameroon who said his mother cooks Cat! Here in the U.K.! Strange people all over the world! You are pointing out 5% of a region of Africa, because us from southern African wouldn’t even cross our mind to eat such, we were hunger gatherers. Better to eat nuts, fruits and vegetables (large variety). There were days when my parents made us eat rice and beans for a month, as they saved money for us to migrate abroad. Not once did they consider feeding us domestic animal!

Well i remembered requesting you to visit Dawaki market sometimes back after watching your captivating video on Kwallang Spring waters 💧 of Balang Kalep. I don't know if you had already planned it before my comment but you planning to join the expedition to source for the dogs in far north and possibly neighbouring countries is not a journey for the faint hearted. If you must go, let them educate you on the challenges and get you prepared well. I'm from Dawaki, I didn't grow up there and has never joined any of such adventures but I have relatives that have been doing it for years. So definitely a video on such expedition and adventure will be a show stopper, that'll be a reality show in the mold of Survivor series 😅😂😂.

Good day sir, kudos for this expose into this trade. Dog eating is a practice around the Nation and the world at large. Infact China is the largest dog-eating country with the Yulin dog meat festival. I would really like to see how these dogs are gotten since there are no established dog farms where they are raised purely for meat. I am also curious to know why foreign breeds are not eaten, i have heard many reasons but none is confirmed. I do not eat dogs, i wonder what's in the taste that a good chicken lap, goat or cow meat can't satisfy.
