I remember Road Rover Series by from the 90's because I used to watch that Series when I was very Young and now I got the complete Series on DVD at last so I can't enjoy watching again. I still wished more of my childhood cartoon favourites from the 90s like Biker Mice From Mars, Space Cats, Creepy Crawlers, Super Dave, Hammerman, The Adventure of Hyperman, Blazing Dragons, Cowboys of Moo Mesa, The Addams Family, Albert the Fifth Muskeeter, Santo Bugito, Iznogoud, Walter Melon,and captain simian and the space monkeys were finally released onto complete DVD at last just like Road Rovers

This was not a bad show honestly how I knew about it was youtube when I was looking at old 90s promos of Cartoon Network and it ended to soon. Say what you will about Loonatics Unleashed but at least that lasted for 2 seasons and that is still better than Teen Titans Go. I'm really happy you shared your thoughts on Road Rovers.🐻🧸

I've never seen the show before because I was born in 2000, and the reruns stopped air that year. But I did manage to watch the show, and it was pretty good overall. I agree with you, Colleen on purposely forgetting Blitz's name can get annoying especially when she kicked his ass, the only exception I would make is the final episode. Too add on the show's cancelation, there's actually more to it though that are rumored. One was that the show had many adult jokes, but many 90s cartoon had adult jokes so may not be true. Two was the show didn't have any merchandises, no toys games or clothes, even when you look it up on eBay there's nothing other than the DVD of the show, you can find some shirts from Wish. Three was that tv shows for kids were becoming too violent so wanted to push more educational shows, even though Power Rangers was still airing. And etc.

Here's a fun forgotten movie to review Shootfigther: Fight to the Death. It stars William Zabka from Karate Kid/Cobra Kai and the Screenwriter was Judd Lynn from Power Rangers

I think Colleen gets Blitz's name wrong on purpose when ever he flirts with her. It's her way of saying, "I'm not into you, butthead."
@rangerreview17802 жыл бұрын
Yeah. You see that in some episodes. But than you see her really believing it in others. She's confusing.

Also rare is that one of the villains in this series was voiced by singer Sheena Easton, and her delivery of the character reminds me of Evil-Lyn in Masters of the Universe (the original 1983 Filmation series).

Great to see FTV again after several months, and what a comeback! I was really hoping that you'd tackle this long forgotten classic! I think I may have watched this show when it was on Kids WB back in the day at around 6-7 years old. I wish this series could've continued as the concept was a really cool idea: A group of anthropomorphic canines that were made to stop a madman, and his assistant! (It is weird that Blitz has a very odd obsession of gnawing on people's asses, and only did it 1 time out of the 13 episodes instead of doing at least once in every episode. Maybe the writers felt it would've gotten old quickly, although you could argue the same thing for other jokes too.) It's just a shame that it ended up getting axed, and not because of the usual overshadowed by another popular show (I'm actually surprised that Road Rovers ended up doing better than Superman: The Animated Series when it originally aired), or poor writing, or even due to typical, lazy, moronic parent/guardian complaints (oi, dumbass parents/guardians, TV-MA shows heading over to Disney Plus isn't gonna prevent other family friendly content from airing on there, that's why there's these things called "parental control", as well as "parenting/guarding", USE THEM! Also stupid that you complain about fictional abused animals, yet you don't have a problem with ASAPC showing countless animals in reality that are heavily abused in their commercials), but, rather, a stupid, pointless lawsuit on who owned Road Rovers, like, really...? W-why? That sucks. If only RR could've been used to be re-aired instead of the Loonatics Unleashed nonsense. At least the writing, characters, music, story, and comedy were all on point. It is unfortunate that besides The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries cameo, the only other appearance of the Road Rovers in a really long time was in Teen Titans Go! of all things (just, why)... (Speaking of which; TTG!, this is what you should've been. Wait till the original 2003 Teen Titans got a proper finale, THEN you can be as silly as much as you want as long as you pay respect to the original source material, and your fans, which you do neither.) I am so glad that RR actually got to be released on DVD by Warner Archive--though not on Blu-Ray, sadly, nor do I have any idea if it was released in America--and I hope that I can get a hold of the entire series one day! I also hope that Road Rovers gets some kind of revival so it can finally conclude properly, even a reboot, I'd probably be okay with (as long as they don't butcher like so many other recent reboots, and don't shoehorn in modern Western standards)! They're good, good dogs! "GOOOOOOO ROVERS!!!"

I first watched this show online when I was 19. So, now I’m 23. I never got to watch it in my youth but at least it’s the last part as a teenager. Otherwise I never got to watch it till I was 20 lol.

Wow, this out did Superman's cartoon? And was doing Batman Beyond before Batman Beyond was? Im amazed I didn't at least hear of it or see some images from it somewhere before now. I'm gonna have to check this out. I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see all of the (mostly) forgotten gems (Mighty Ducks cartoon, etc; especially with cameoes by forgotten gems from my childhood of the 70s and early 80s) come back in a TV movie special teaming up a slew of them. Sorta of a better made Cartoon All-Stars.

Also, excellent review here, dude. I just so happen to be a fan of this show. I was 13 when this show first aired, and starting my first year in middle school. You aced this review pretty well with how you went over its premise, its characters, and its material. Though to this day, I weep for this show, as it had wasted potential. Road Rovers is sadly one of those series that showed great promise, but tragically ended as soon as it began. And it was never given a second chance even many years later. Road Rovers may have had its flaws, but it also had some great material. And I had high hopes for this series. And no, them being referenced in Teen Titans Go doesn't count. I despise Teen Titans Go because it goes out of its way to mock its source material, the fans, and other series. Not to mention, its been on the air for far too long at this point. But anyways, Road Rovers may be just a relic of the past. But it will always retain a special place in my heart. Its been over 25 years now since it first aired. But I still have fond memories of it to this day. Peace out.

Good review. I first watched that show back in 2019 and I loved it. Btw there’s one thing you forgot to mention. The Russian Name Song (the scene that it was cut out from the final episode) that’s one of the other problem of the show. Search it up if you don’t believe me! But again, I still enjoy the video tho :)

I have ideas for new Road Rover recruits: *Wes the Corgi, Oscar the Dachshund, Juilo (hoo-lee-o) the Chihuahua, and Chiffon the Pomeranian aka "The Shorties" - They are the youngest new recruits and are nicknamed "Shorties" because of their small statures & limbs. *R.J. the Jack Russell- A rival of Hunter due to his keen senses & being a champion show dog. *Scarlet, Yuki, and Azula the Heelers - Triplets made of three types of Australian Heelers (Red for Scarlet, White for Yuki, and Blue for Azula). They often talk in unison & are very acrobatic...even though Yuki is a bit ditzy & clumsy. And they are female Heelers (in case you didn't know).

If they wanted to make a show about international dogs, they should include Asian and/or Mexican dogs breeds, not only European dogs. On the other hand, if Colleen was a border colie, it doesn't make sense the color of her eyes. Border collies have dark brown eyes, like most dog breeds.

9:04 Well... Not really a guest appearance so much as a reference just for a cheap joke. And one that wasn't very funny as it was deliberately meant to poke fun at the series that was being referenced.
