Would you recommend this book to beginners to druidcraft?

Yes, in fact, 100%. One thing I forgot to mention is how reader-friendly it is. He really makes everything crystal clear in a warm, friendly, but never condescending way. A real master who doesn't need to hide behind fancy language.

I love visiting them and trying to imagine the people that made these amazing structures! I am also fascinated by the mystery of the Druids so I think I might have to pick this one up! Thanks

Very much like William Atkinson to speak as a master to a pupil, it's almost a trademark in his works. Which is why I recommended a review of some of his other books in a past vid of yours, such as "Clairvoyance and Occult Powers" or one of his 1st works "The Human Aura" since your a well read man. To be honest as an archdruid of my own grove I fail to take seriously any practitioner who isn't aware of his literature, as they are almost a staple on the "how to" of the groundwork of mentalism and how to make magic actually work. I actually found him through "The Mentalist Handbook" written by a researcher of his. Keep up the great reviews my friend and may danu illuminate your path.

I really want to get this... May order it if still there next month. Do you have any thoughts on the very best astrology book of the occult? Something that goes deeper into everything than the Picatrix? I just ordered the 3 books of occult philosophy and a few others. I have Golden Dawn, Picatrix, Kybalion and a few other grimoure type books. I need a book with the times of the days corresponding to the planets. I do not think any of the ones I have have those times in them... I really want to have the right and exact literature in case I end up with no internet ect. Trying to buy as many books as I can and start my studies. I know Astrology is KEY to ALL. I use Stellarium on my laptop which is GREAT but like I said in case technology becomes something I do not want to deal with or can;t for any reason I will keep my books. So I am stocking up on the most important ones I can find. Any reply would be appreciated Foolish Fish! Thank you! (Also any tools absolutely needed for rituals if you have time to tell me some essentials).

Maybe it's because I'm a Welsh speaker from Anglesey, or maybe it's because Druidry is a modern invention posing as an ancient tradition, but I view it all as being rather silly. The Mabinogion is central to my own personal Dreaming, as is a lot of Welsh stuff (eg fairy lore, medieval genealogies), but it doesn't require me to pretend to be a druid or insist that everything relating to the Celts is by default druidic.

In defence of Greer, I have to point to the fact that he frequently try to free modern Druidry from any claims to be ancient (and so does quite a few of adherents of RDNA and AODA). He repeatedly write in his books (and on his blog) that modern Druidry is a 300 year old particular spiritual movement, formed by Enlightenment and Romanticism influences, from William Stukeley onwards. Self-identified Druids in the 18th and 19th centuries (and some self-identified Druids in the 20h century) raised unfounded claims about ancient roots, but I see it as a sign of maturity that the druidical movement (or parts thereof) now is tending to measure the value of their own traditions based on their usefulness rather than their age. Lectures held by Professor Ronald Hutton have probably helped some members of OBOD to similarly form a historically accurate view of the past.

Similarly, it was an improvement, when adherents of the Wiccan religion realised, that they were not practicing a surviving 30 000 year old stone age religion, but a religion that emerged in the 1940s, by stitching together Apuleius' description of Isis, Swinburne's poem Hertha, Margaret Murray's now refuted theories about the witch hunt, and Robert Graves' vivid imagination into something new and interesting. (Graves is for Wicca what Iolo Morganwg and Morien are for Druidry) The age of their religion doesn't matter, as long as the Wiccans find their practice spiritually rewarding, and it's good form when they abstain from claiming their religion to be "Celtic".

I’m intrigued by the 3 lines on the cover pointing upward within the stone pillars, I saw that exact symbol on the side of the “Ilkley moor White House”, I wonder if it has Druidic meaning, there’s stones around ilkley moor that have the swirl symbol carved on them.

Hey FF, have miskatonic books ever rereleased copies of their books? The reason I am asking is cause now I finally have a little bit of money and went to get this book and the second volume and they are out of stock now and there are no other places that have it. I feel deep in my bones that I need these two books, but now it seems there is no way to get one... Nobody is selling it anywhere.

Nevermind, I got the last one they had in the store... Prayed to my guides, pictured it and said if I am meant to get the book, make a way! ... Then I looked everywhere and then contacted him and said, he did you guys sell to any other bookstores? He said I think I have one around here that wasn't for sale, I'll sell it to you :-)
