The premise of this game is very interesting to me. But it’s a lot heavier than most games I play. Still trying to make my mind up about this one…. If I do get it I probably won’t get it to the table very often. It might be well worth it with the right game group. I’m curious to see how the expansion (that introduces event cards) adds to the experience.

I can clearly tell a lot of thought probably did go into the design of World Order, but somehow I think I just enjoyed their previous game Hegemony more. Maybe Hegemony just felt more "unique" to me, when it pitted the economic systems of working vs. middle vs. capitalist vs. government, that was really something I haven't seen before in boardgames. World Order's theme just doesn't quite hit the same note of creativeness to me, imo.

That's fair thematically speaking

Thanks for the presentation and your thoughts. Seems like a solid game but it ain't for me. Happy Thanksgiving, I am off for some Dawn of the Zeds and later some Bad Karmas.

At the moment I think retail is enough for me. Not going to back this one.

Thanks for your thoughts, Chris. My impression of WO is that of a game that has been streamlined to such an extent that it lost any semblance to what it initially tried to simulate. Maybe global politics and power games is really just as dry as pushing cubes to gain VPs.
