We need to appreciate Nick's amazing internal clock, he went to sleep at 11.00pm and his first estimate was that he slept for 6 hours since he was dreaming. We know he arrived at Bojangles at 5.15am, which probably means the radio first given time of 5am was probably correct. Presuming Nick didn't go too far out of town, and that his house, the Walmart and the Bojangles are all near each other, he likely woke up around 4.30am, about 5 hours and 30 mins past 11.00pm. Truly incredible.

If they're announcing one false time, there's a chance both are false. So not only does he not know for certain which is true, there's no real certainty about if either are true at all.
