I like how during the opening title sequence in the later seasons, Donna Stone is like, "Wait, I get to leave the house, too!"

This was the last season = and the only one when she leaves the house.

Sheila James and El Brendel were such wonderful character actors👍

Sheila James played "Zelda Gilroy" on (The Many Lives of) Dobie Gillis from 1959 to 1963. Interestingly enough, using her real last name, Sheila Kuehl later became a California State Senator.

Wish things were like this today. 12/4/2021. The times, they change, and not always for the better. Dan 🇺🇸 ( Dwayne Hickman for President of the United States! )

Did people REALLY ever live like this?

No not quite but things were a lot simpler less complicated. There was no internet no home computers and most people only had 1 phone and b/w tv and families had one income. There was certainly less and no mass shootings less contention hatred and polarization A weeks worth groceries was about $60 candy bar were 5 or 10 cents. Comic books were 10 cents with more pages to read about your favourite super hero... Rent or mortgage was much cheaper... People had respect for authority the education system and the media. People could leave thier doors unlocked and not worry about someone trying to break in or grab your kid. People were more God oriented and patriotic.

@@oldgordo61 Rotary dial telephones. I think they were just getting to use the 3digit-4digit system instead of the CE4-2034 phone numbers. ZIP codes were relatively new instead of "New York City 8".

This is just a typical script from The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis "redone" with little effort with Paul Petersen in his place. Shelia James is basically paying Zelda. I mean come on, Gerelda instead of Zelda? HAHAHAHAH
