Snare sounds killer in this one!! That's not your usual snare is it? Sounds like it has so much more crack to it, almost a cross stick sound. Love it! Also, really cool seeing you getting to play some cool tunes with the Pops! You both look like you're really enjoying this! 👏👏👌👍

Hey Steve thanks so much for the kudos! Me and my dad had a good time working on this project. Yes, this is a snare that I have had for a while it's the Limited Edition Ludwig Acrolite snare drum that I did a video on a while back. You have a very good ear, I did make some adjustments for this video on that snare. I put a 30 strand PureSound snare on it and also used a little bit more attack on the snare compressor. This gave it a bit of a more snappy/cracky sound, that I believe you are hearing. :-) I do like the sound also, but because I also used the 30 strand snare it really closed off the sound a bit more (on an already drier sounding snare) than I thought it would in the mix, so I may put a 20 strand back on and tinker around a little or maybe I'll leave the 30 strand on and roll the attack back on the compressor.
